General Rules for Planet Janet Welcome to Planet Janet! The main objective of this board is to express your love for Janet, your opinions, and to interact with an important segment of the Janet fandom.  To enjoy your experience here, below are general rules and guidelines to make your experience here be successful: The N Word Please be aware that the N word is going to be filtered on this forum. Most importantly, this word is not acceptable on this forum in any form; therefore, if it is used again by ANY member on here, it will result in an immediate and permanent ban. Consider this the first, only, and last warning regarding this. Music Download | Copyright Infringement Illegal download links to music from any artist are not permissible to be posted on this forum at any time. If you have posted an illegal download link, you must take it down immediately. Failure to remove the links, and/or subsequent, repeated offenses will result in disciplinary action up to and including a permanent ban from the forum. Fan Threads of Other Artists Generally, we like to keep threads and/or topics about other artists within an Official Artist Thread.  This helps to eliminate clutter and redundancy throughout the forum and allow a one-stop shop to view comments on that particular artist not pertaining to Janet.  If there is HUGE news related to an artist and generates a lot of discussion, it is okay to have a standalone thread on that topic outside of the Official Thread. A good debate is OKAY in the Official Threads of other artists.  Official Threads are not complete sanctuaries of devotion of that particular artist; however, there is a need to be civil with other members.  Please refrain from personal attacks and arguments that devolve into personal attacks. Additionally, do NOT use Janet as means to defend an artist.  This forum is made in her honor, and putting her down to boast your particular artist is prohibited. Exercise good judgment and common sense.  If not, then the moderating team will exercise disciplinary action depending on the egregiousness of the action.  Please utilize this announcement as a first warning. Personal Attacks

Each member has a warning percentage - most of them are at zero right now but a few have been warned before. Each warning is worth 10%, and once it gets to 100% the member is automatically banned from the forum.

Each time a member gets into an argument with another member that includes personal attacks, if it is reported or viewed by a member of the moderating team, each participant in the personal attack will get an increase in their warning percentage.  They will be notified via PM, and, prior to posting again, will receive a receipt acknowledging that warning before they can post again. The Moderating Team will never divulge a member's warn percentages on the forum or to other members.

What this means is you are now responsible for your own future on this forum. The Moderating Team will not keep asking you to stop and being ignored. Learn to let things go and learn to moderate yourself before posting; if you end up banned it will be your own fault. Personal attacks and include attacks on one’s race, age, religious creed, color, gender, national origin, physical, mental or visual disability, medical condition, ancestry, marital and military status, pregnancy or sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression and general physical appearance/looks. Depending on the nature of the personal attack there will be corrective action up and including permanent banning. If you have any inquiries about your warning percentage, feel free to PM a mod for an answer. If you need any clarification on the rules, feel free to reach out to The Moderating Team.

Definitely!!  I've been reading up on the Billboard Social Media charts, and seriously if enough of us listen to the song at once, it could top that chart.  You don't have to buy anything... just play Janet's music on Spotify and YouTube, then tweet mentioning the song title and @JanetJackson with the link.  I've occasionally gotten her stuff to chart with a few friends before.

Do y'all know he just signed 4 bills overturning Obama's other bills. One which included a bill that banned companies from dumping waste into our lakes and rivers. Why the fuck would you overturn something like that?

    http://www.msn.c
WASHINGTON — President Trump rolled back more Obama-era regulations Monday, signing four bills that reverse rules on education, land use and federal purchasing.

Promising to "remove every job-killing regulation we can find," Trump said even more regulation-cutting bills were on the way.
The resolutions of disapproval reached the president's desk through the Congressional Review Act, a rarely used tool that allows Congress to fast-track a bills to reverse regulations. Before Trump, the law had been used successfully only once in its 21-year history.
Trump has now signed a total of seven, a pace that has surprised even experts. "There are several that weren't on my radar at all," said Susan Dudley, director of the Regulatory Studies Center at George Washington University.
Previous bills have reversed Obama regulations banning Social Security recipients with a mental impairment from buying a firearm, restricting the dumping of mining waste in streams and rivers, and requiring energy companies to disclose how much they're paying foreign governments.
In fact, now half of all bills Trump has signed so far have been these regulation-killing resolutions. White House press secretary Sean Spicer said Monday many of the bills "cancel federal power grabs that took decision-making away from the states and local governments."
The rules canceled by Trump's pen include:
► The "Fair Pay and Safe Workplaces" rule, which barred companies from receiving federal contracts if they had a history of violating wage, labor or workplace safety laws. That regulation, derided by critics as the "blacklisting" rule, was already held up in court.
"The rule simply made it too easy for trial lawyers to go after American companies and American workers who contract with the federal government," White House press secretary Sean Spicer said.
President Obama had pushed the rule through an executive order in 2014. But with the rule wiped off the books, Trump then signed an executive order revoking Obama's order and directing agencies to rescind any policies implementing it.
► A Bureau of Land Management rule known as "Planning 2.0," that gave the federal government a bigger role in land use decisions. The rule was opposed by the energy industry.
► Two regulations on measuring school performance and teacher training under the Every Student Succeeds Act, a law Obama signed in 2015 with bipartisan support.
Trump's action effectively precludes federal action on any of those rules, since the administration is now barred from issuing any new rule that is "substantially similar" to the ones that were just overturned.
That's one reason Congress has used the Congressional Review Act so sparingly in the past. Dudley said this Congress clearly has an appetite to cut even some more obscure regulations. "If there's a really focused group that is interested in this regulation and doesn’t like it, Congress might take it up," she said.
Trump signed the bills in a ceremony in the Roosevelt Room of the White House, handing out pens to members of Congress. "This was a lot of work by a lot of people to get this done," he said. "It will lead to a lot more jobs for a lot mo

......shes officially a decent actress.....shes real decent on Bates Motel, like shes very captivating and I was worried that they were giving her such a reverred role (the famous Janet Leigh/the shower scene character), but GOD, Im believing her in this and shes serving those emotions nicely. Theres dry moments when she dropped the ball on a line or 2, but shes actually for the most part convincing and relaxed... im proud of her, and look forward to her acting future. Valerian, Oceans Eight, Soul Sisters Im here for Rihanna the actress. Thats my favorite thing about her, she keeps groeing and getting better right in front of us.

It's Radar Online. I also saw this story on the cover of the National Enquirier at the grocery store. They'll pay for any story especially when it comes to the Jacksons.

Yeah Ezra is gay, but I am not convinced at how hes playing Barry personally from the trailers.  It may be a script/direction thing.  But, to me they keep changing up the personalities of their characters.  The same way Batman vs Superman was ruined by Eisenberg's Riddler like performance of Lex.
Ezra seems to be playing Barry a little too needy loner, "I need friends".
Aquaman looks cool and looks like he will get some good exposure but even he is grumpy looking and gloomy.
At least the Wonder Woman standalone film seems to break out of the doom and gloomy 'overcast' scenery at some points.  At least in the paradise island trailers and there seems to be some genuine lightness and humor at points.

    Great 'Night' Re-Edit/ Extended Mix
Just discovered the great extended mix of Night from the Unbreakable album.  It's my favorite song from the project, and the ONLY criticism I have is that it's just too damn short.  Thankfully this guy DJ AB seems to agree.
Check it out, and leave a comment on the video.  It would also be great to get some more mentions of the song out there.  I think if given a fair shot, this song is still capable of landing on the charts.  Another interesting tidbit... if you like Janet's 2009 single Make Me (which also happens to be her 19th and final Number 1 on the Dance Club charts), it has the same co-writer as Night... the incredibly talented Michaela "Mickey" Shiloh.

Its all dark and overcast and everything looks like its in front of a green screen.
I expect some Suicide Squad, Batman vs Superman disappointment.  It will make money like they did but I don't expect it to be good.
