  1. sure he ain't of Mike's DNA, but that's his son.. End of story
  2. what is alleged..? That is his son, point blank period. And yes, play the fuck outta TDCAU, it's eerie as hell how those lyrics are more relevant today than they were 21 years ago.. And who said anything was "cool" or "uncool"..?? there you go creating the truth you like again Normandy... #storyofyourlife
  3. I'm guessing you just blew a few loads all over your mom's basement right now.... Amirite??

    Aaliyah turns 15!

15 years already..? Time for R. Kelly to marry it and fuck the shit out of it for as long as he can until the annulment..
  5. looks like shit..? have you even seen a film from the 1950's or before in 1080p quality?? it looks incredible. A legit crystal clear window into that time.. and nobody is saying her tours must be released on bluray.. Obviously the digital avenue makes most sense, and still produces amazing 1080p images..
  6. regarding the HD discussion.. Sure, they didn't have 4K cameras back in the 1930's, but once a new print transfer is made (not converted), the mastering is done with minimum 1,080 pixel lines of definition, hence "1080p" label. Therefore, as long as the original film negative was large enough and without significant damage, the end result is usually at least a 720p image, if not full 1080p, and that's pretty much HD anyways. Whatever the case may be, the end result quality will be far superior to anything we've seen before (and would be insanely better than what some on here would like to believe would be comparable to VHS).. as for the legal rights issue, I remember reading somewhere that the rights reverted to Janet in 2006, and her stating in 2008 that she was planning to release them (without mentioning legalities as reason why it hadn't been yet done so) lends credence to that... But you may know something more.. lastly, I hope you're right about a future tour boxset!

you're included in "a lot of people" buddy.. Your "proof" is nowhere to be found, making everything you stated just another opinion! have a good night bruh bruh!
  8. you don't know what the word "transfer" means....do you? Here's a hint: it doesn't mean the same as "convert".. ...moron.
  9. Idk.. but guess what?! I bought a single $51 nosebleed seat ticket to the SF Guns 'N Roses show happening in August.. But my only intention of buying it was to resell it on stubhub.. And last week I got the notification that it fucking sold for $680!! Yee! thanks capitalism! #mycountrytisofthee ????

this has nothing to do with YOU! You say "same goes for AYF" and no it's not the same.. It will be the same when and if Janet, Terry or Jimmy come out and say that AYF either isn't about MJ or specify what it is about.. Then it's the same.. Until then, there's no "burden of proof" on anyone.. Wtf is this Law & Order?? I shared my opinion of what the interpretation was about the song, and YOU being YOU have to try and correct somebody when it's YOU that has no proof of what YOU believe to be fact.. Because until Janet does a song-by-song breakdown of the meaning of each one, you have no "proof" of anything.. I didn't attempt to prove anything, only explain my interpretation of what I believe it to be.. and your point about opening the AMAs is moot.. Because if you choose to believe that there wasn't a spike in Janet Jackson's "stock" after MJ died, then you're more of an imbecile that I previously thought.. now go ring up somebody's groceries..
  11. *class is in session!* Listen genius, if it's filmed on beta or Hi-8 film, then it's high definition.. If it's filmed on VHS, then it's not HD.. And I would be willing to bet that it wasn't filmed on VHS.. Even back then, DPs knew that VHS maxed out at only 480 pixel lines of definition (aka NOT high def).. That's why they didn't film movies on VHS tape, even way back then! (woooooow you're learning!!) for janet to confirm that these were filmed in high definition, that would lead any reasonable person with knowledge on the subject (unlike yourself) to presume that these were not recorded onto VHS.. Therefore suggesting that these are easily transferable into 720p/1080p high definition... And why the fuuck do you keep saying that old HD is not new HD...?? The date that things were recorded have nothing (again....NOTHING) to do with it being high def or not.. Now go learn something else!
  12. you clearly (and unsurprisingly) have no idea what you're referring to.. You are not a videophile.. HD in 2001 is still the same HD as 2016.. Hell, HD is 1950 is the same as HD in 2016.. its all based on how it's filmed.. That's why movies that were made in the 1930's (like, say, The Wizard of Oz) can still be transferred to bluray and turn out 1080p high definition prints (or even converted to high definition 3D)!! ? you, sir, are such an imbecile..

none of anything you said is relevant.. Nobody brought up YOU besides YOU! (So stop trying to make "FETCH" happen! ) And no shit she's opened award shows in the past.. (She even performed at the Super Bowl bro! ?) But before the AMAs in 2009, coming off her RWU Tour didn't make her such a hot commodity to open the 2nd biggest music award show in America! And if you think that Janet damn-near selling out over 80 shows on the UCAP Tour had zilch to do with the spike in public interest in her after Mike died, then you're crazy! I don't care that it was mostly smaller venues, there were still a lot of 6k+ seat venues that she couldn't have dreamed of selling out on the RWU Tour less than 2 years prior! Show me a quote from her or Terry or Jimmy that states AYF is NOT (at least partially) about her brother.. You can't.. So STFU!!! ???

I'll concur with just about everything you said.. Solid post ??
  15. is this not a discussion board homie..?? Can we not discuss shit that comes to mind..?? and from her own lips she said they were filmed in HD.. So quality ain't the issue my dude.. go take your meds and kick back bruh lol
  16. I guess that's a possibility.. Although she has made it a point to state that these tours were originally filmed in high definition.. Now whether that means 1080p or 4K high definition or not remains to be seen, but still sounds like she knew these were filmed with "releaseable" quality.. plus if you go look at some of the Queen concerts put out through Qello, they are by no means "great quality" by any sort.. Plus the fact that the MJ estate released the Bad Tour in cringe-worthy VHS quality, I'd say that probably takes away from the theory that Janet's tours are unreleased simply due to video quality.. ?

THIS. I think some people are missing (or just plain ignoring) that glaringly obvious fact.. from the moment Mike passed away, we've never had the same "Janet Jackson" that we had before.. People rather believe that him dying didn't have as big of an impact on her as it truly did.. career-wise (and it sucks to say this) his death gave her the kick in the ass that she needed.. You weren't going to see her appear on the American Idol finale (as the last/headlining surprise performer) before June 2009.. You weren't going to see her open the AMAs with an 8 minute medley (including a new song) before June 2009.. You weren't going to see her perform (let alone open) the 2009 MTV VMAs (regardless if it was in tribute or not) before June 2009 (even releasing her newest single the same day!).. And releasing Number Ones in Nov of 2009 could also be seen as capitalising from Mike's death.. Plus, on top of everything, the public has seemingly "forgiven" Janet of any negative stigma she has had attached to her name in the last decade (i.e. critical acclaim for the album, successful tour, award show tributes, potential RRHOF induction, etc etc etc) all after Mike died.. She for sure felt the effects of Michael Jackson dying, and I just mean career-wise, let alone the aftermath for her personally.. And by "personally," I think that we've seen her change more in the last 7 years than any other period in her life.. Is it coincidence that it all takes place after her closest sibling has an untimely death?? No..... No it is not. And I feel that it's not any sort of stretch of the imagination to believe that the very first song she writes and records for her very first album since his death, might just have a little to do with her brother..... ijs...

eh I see what you mean but that still doesn't persuade me enough to change my interpretation of this song.. Appreciate your views tho..

Only time I'll explain my POV on this track: After You Fall Who's gonna be thereAfter you fallWho's gonna be thereAfter it all Your resilience so brilliant (I don't feel like she would call anything of herself "brilliant")Yet you stand strongBut this pain you feelNever thought that a hurtCould be so deepAnd now trust for you has new meaning (he's been betrayed by many people over the years) After you fallWho's gonna be thereAfter you fallOh whoaWho's gonna be thereAfter you fallWho's gonna care for youAfter it all Alone you wanna beI know there ya feel safeIt's ya go to place (Neverland, this isn't referring to Dubai where Janet lives now, because during the SB fiasco she wasn't living in Dubai)They let evil bare their souls (the accusers, attorneys, media)Take control God has no home (they'll lie, steal, cheat to get their ultimate goal: money)And all the good you doThey still want to keep you down (he's donated to more charities than other celebrity) After you fallWho's gonna be thereAfter you fallOh whoa Your resilience so brilliantYeah you stand strongBut this pain you feelNever thought that a hurtCould cut ya so deepAnd now trust for you has newMeaning After you fallWho's gonna be thereWith you through allWho's gonna care for youAfter it all yeahWho's gonna be thereAfter you fallI will (she literally supported him publically with Scream and attending several court dates in 04-05)----------------------------------- Add onto the fact that it's been stated that AYF was the very first song written and recorded for the album, so I'd assume that MJ would be more on her mind at the start of this project, considering this was the first album she had created since the passing of her closest sibling. She's had over a decade to write about the treatment she received after the SB, but chose to only do so now..? I just don't believe that she would want to further remind people of that whole debacle when she's tried for so long to bury it. The only time she spoke to directly about the SB on this album is the very first line of the very first song imo.. Lastly, Janet has stated time and time again thoughout several interviews that she doesn't like to talk about MJ's last years that much (or even look at photos of him in his later years), but she's much more comfortable to speak about their time growing up together. Which lends credit to my theory that the end of AYF leading into BHH is intentional (moreso the way it's done). AYF ends on a somber, slow feeling, which then sees BHH begin with almost no intro music and Janet begins singing immediately. As if to say like "I don't want to dwell for very long on the negatives of his life, and feel much more comfortable speaking about my favorite memories with him, growing up." Not trying to convince anyone to think the way I do about AYF, but only explaining why I interpret this song the way that I do.. If you disagree, that's cool too, but it's not going to change what I picture when I listen to this song.. have a good day folks! ?

yea I think it was a missed oppurtunity.. It def would've been interesting to hear her "in-the-moment" feelings projected through her music.. We never really got that.. On the Unbreakable album, she touched a little on the topic with After You Fall, possibly, though I tend to believe that song had more to do with Mike and his experience that she witnessed him endure as opposed to her own, as I would feel that she probably wouldn't want to bring it up again (about herself) so many years later.. Plus AYF flows right into BHH, hence another reason.. but I would've loved to hear her anger (or whatever emotions she was feeling in early 2004) through her music more.. I remember when Mike released the track listing for his box set The Ultimate Collection, and the very last song was a brand new song co-produced by Darkchild called "We've Had Enough," and MJ author/autobiographer J. Randy Taraborelli made it a big deal that this song was going to be a brand new duet between MJ and Janet and that they were going to be "spitting blood" (his exact words) at the media.. He went on ET and announced that, and folks got hyped, only to be let down.. Though it's still another amazing MJ track..
  23. that's weird, I have Qello on my iPhone so figured it'd def be on apple tv.. Oh well.. And what do you mean by "other" streaming devices? Like all others..? ?? And obviously she didn't give any dates lol.. But I don't think when she said on live TV that she was "going to release them" that she was inferring she'll wait another 8 years at minimum! ? I mean she's had the full rights to both of these shows and recordings since 2006 I believe..
