  1. It sounds as though voice chat will be tied to a smart phone app for the Switch. Who thought that was a good idea?
  2. I definitely agree that they need a new Metroid game. They haven't released a good one since 2007. Having a new Mega Man is dependent on Capcom, but judging by the fact that Mega Man X was revealed for the new Marvel vs. Capcom game, the Blue Bomber might have some hope for a good comeback.
  3. The reveal presentation was kinda lacking IMO. Zelda looks good, Mario looks good, and other games like Xenoblade 2 look interesting. Still, the odds are against them, I think.
  4. From People: It’s a boy! Janet Jackson and husband Wissam Al Mana welcomed their first child, a son, on Tuesday, Jan. 3, her rep confirms to PEOPLE exclusively. “Janet Jackson and husband Wissam Al Mana are thrilled to welcome their new son Eissa Al Mana into the world,” her rep says in a statement. “Janet had a stress-free healthy delivery and is resting comfortably.” Jackson married Qatari businessman Al Mana in 2012, and news of their first child’s impending arrival was reported in May. Speculation first began when the singer postponed her Unbreakable World Tour so, as she said in a video posted to Twitter in early April, she and Al Mana could focus on their family. “We’re in the second leg of the tour, and there actually has been a sudden change,” she said in the clip. “I thought it was important that you be the first to know. “My husband and I are planning our family,” she continued. “So I’m going to have to delay the tour.” In October, the singer shared a baby bump photo exclusively with PEOPLE, saying, “We thank God for our blessing.” Though Jackson has been fairly quiet regarding her pregnancy, she was spotted running errands for baby supplies at London’s Back in Action furniture store in September. And while she was out and about, Jackson kept her baby bump under wraps in sweatpants, a black sweater and a matching scarf. Soon after the sighting, a source close to the Jackson family told PEOPLE Jackson was eager to become a mom for the first time. “She is super excited about her pregnancy and is doing extremely well,” the source said in September. “She actually feels very good about everything.” Janet Jackson Is ‘Super Excited’ About Expecting Her First Child at 50 Her older brother Jermaine Jackson has also shared a few details of his youngest sister’s pregnancy journey. “She’ll be a great mother because she is very tough, very strict,” Jermaine, 61, who has nine children of his own, said in May. “But I tell her, ‘If you need any parenting skills or baby skills, let me know because I’m the best diaper changer there is on this planet, still to this day.’ ” Link to the original article: http://people.com/babies/janet-jackson-welcomes-son-eissa/?xid=socialflow_twitter_peoplemag
  5. His people are saying he died of heart failure. I wonder what brought it on though
  6. So unfortunate! So many singers have died this year, and 53 is such a young age. His publicist said he died "peacefully at his home."
  7. IDK what he's sampling either, but it kinda reminded me of "Summer Madness" by Kool & the Gang.
  8. https://twitter.com/CBSNews/status/795061436703789056 Katy Perry appeared at Clinton's rally to Nasty playing in the background
  9. ^^^ I definitely think that's what they want to do. But even then, the dedicated handheld market seems to also be shrinking. The 3DS hasn't sold nearly as much as the original DS line did (The 3DS isn't even at half of what the OG DS line sold), and I won't even go into the PS Vita which basically flopped (a pity seeing as how it's a great handheld concerning its specifications and original features. The price and lack of AAA games is what killed it). I think the only place where dedicated gaming handhelds still hold a lot of weight is Japan; they love their handhelds. I'm pretty sure the handhelds sell more than the home consoles over there. While we've only seen one trailer, I don't believe that the Switch will be able to divert sales away from tablets which have more features and a better resolution (I think the Switch's tablet screen is 720p). Nintendo doesn't even have a gaming network on par with PSN and Xbox Live. I don't want Nintendo to fail, but the odds are not in their favor.
  10. Nintendo is going to have an extremely hard time finding a big market for this, I think. They have been going down in their home console sales for a long time. The N64 marked the era where they lost favor with a lot of gamers. The Wii was a fluke that appealed to the casual market; I don't think that they will come back to Nintendo now, especially if there are other tablets doing similar things on the market right now. Third-parties are saying that they're gonna support it, but I can't take that too seriously as those same companies said they were gonna support the Wii U and stopped doing so less than, like, 2 years in. I hope it sells better than the Wii U did. But it most likely will not be able to catch up to the beast that is currently the PS4.
  11. If she does come back, I expect the tour (specifically Europe dates--if they were to still happen) to be downsized. I feel she's in a very awkward position. If she wants a career, she's going to have to revamp herself. Unbreakable could have been the thing that reignited her flame and got her back into people's minds, but the whole project was not properly supported. She's gonna have to rebuild again. And 2018 would be too soon with a baby. I don't think she'd want to be travelling around the globe with her first child.
  12. I really like the song! It initially gave me some 80s R&B vibes (Zapp and Roger specifically). I like that a lot of his songs have a throwback feel to them.
  13. Come Back To Me whilst in the grocery store. They betta' praise 'HA!
  14. I thought I was the only one who didn't care for Whoops Now.
  15. I think it's in sleep mode right now. After the schism that occurred during what we got out of the Unbreakable era, some fans have probably decided to take a break, especially since nothing is happening with Janet now. Once she gives birth and we get some news about her, there will be more to talk about in the threads.
  16. Nice to hear the isolated vocals and harmonies. My favorite part of the song has always been 2:29-2:44.
  17. She could appeal more to millennials than she does currently as her music and videos have aged well for the most part. But she would need to revamp her image--specifically, ensure her work is online in its entirety-- and make herself more visible than she is now to be palatable to the younger generation.
  18. ^^^ True. There's always a chance that they took a photo and it wasn't posted online
  19. I would like for her to at least release albums at random intervals, but I feel like that probably won't happen. Unbreakable seemed like it was supposed to be a farewell album and era even though that was never said outright. I honestly think that once she has this baby, she'll dedicate almost her whole life to him/her and I can't blame her if she does. Her career has been extremely rocky since the Superbowl, and if she wasn't that concerned over repairing things then (releasing sub-par albums, not touring, etc.), I really don't think she'd be concerned at all over her career/legacy 10 years from now. Still, her legacy will remain in the industry. And 10+ years from now, I know I'll still be a fan.
  20. The ratings for the VMAs this year dropped again. According to the Hollywood Reporter, it only got 6.5 million viewers. This surprised me seeing as how they actually had several big acts in the building. http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/live-feed/tv-ratings-mtv-vmas-drop-924030
  21. !! I love that look on Janet, too.
