She's performed jazz throughout her career, it's nothing new.

Sucks to be a lil monster

The fanbase is very excited about this album and the reaction has been great. I love that this album will focus on her vocals.

That's great that she's been performing Jazz since she was a teen but that's not gonna cut it in the pop industry

This is a jazz album and it's catering to an audience that listens to jazz music. There's no push to pop and it isn't being released to pop radio.

We aren't talking about some jazz artist.. Lady Gaga is pop. That's like if Katy Perry started singing religious songs

Funny enough, Katy Perry already made the transition from gospel to pop, she released a Christian album as Katy Hudson (her birth name) before her major label debut.

Lady Gaga is a pop singer, clearly. But Tony Bennett is a jazz singer and the album is jazz music only, so I don't see your point.

I know that.. I meant "going back" to non-secular music

Pop singer doesn't mix well with Jazz album in terms of image

This is the same woman who wore a meat dress... And now she's doing jazz?

I just think it's an odd couple.. A 70 year old with a 30 year old.. And Madonna isn't finished with her album

Gaga's image doesn't mix well with ANY genre of music. Her clothing is bizarre and over the top.

Many people will ignore her many talents and ignore this album because of her antics. But when it comes to the music, this album will deliver and anyone who can appreciate standards/jazz or is open to listening to different genres should be satisfied. :)

I'm sure but again... Putting Lady Gaga on a Jazz album is so outlandish of her.. Total right field for someone who made a career out of being total left-field

To the general public, she's a left field pop star. But those who follow her closely know she has a diverse taste in genres, she's a musical chameleon in my opinion.
