Have you ever managed to beat a phobia?

I think i've finally battled my mice phobia  :cry:

I've lived in my place for 4.5 years and have seen a mouse 3 times (2 of those times in the last 2 months, which im sure is to do with some local building work).

Each time i've seen there here i managed to beat or trap it - the first time was an movie worthy ordeal :lol: When i was younger i would completely freak when i see them. I still freak now, but i gained the courage fight them.

Have you beat a phobia before or seeked help for it?

Cats.. As a child I was scratched by a cat in the palm of my hand

My childhood bff had a cat.. I never touched it for years! It was until I was 17-18 when I finally petted him.

Now I consider myself a cat person

You so dont strike me as a cat person!

Run of the mill stuff - escalators and sleeping with the light on lol.  I wish I could conquer my fear of spiders though.

I know many have a problem with spiders but never been a big deal for me...though i can completely understand it. Same kinda triggers as a mouse i guess.

Escalators :umm::lol:

I've been dealing with this for years. I can at least look at pictures or see them from a distance. If they're anywhere close to me, though, I'm about to pass out.

I had three at one point in my life... Got rid of one and was down to two.. I loved them.. They're mellow and chill... Independent

I've had to learn to deal with them from when I lived on my own but it gives me hives lol.  The thing is if I leave them they always make a bee-line for my bedroom, never my flatmate's :lol:
