She was turning heads at the Vogue Fashion Dubai Experience on Friday in an all black ensemble. It was the 48-year-old's first public appearance in over a year. The “Rhythm Nation” singer’s new look set tongues wagging with speculation that she may have had some work done, but her makeup artist Preston Meneses is taking all the credit for her flawless face. “It is the makeup,” he told “Extra.” “We wanted to try something new. Everybody is talking about the brow and how it’s going up. People are calling it a facelift. Not true at all. This is the first time in a LONG time Janet allowed someone in her circle to speak for/about her to on a major media platform (non-internet) before it got shut down I can't believe Extra got a hold of him and interviewed him. Here's a transcript of the video:: Janet Jackson's new look at a recent Vogue Fashion event in Dubai caused many to wonder if she'd had a facelift. Now her make-up artist Preston Meneses has risen to the star's defense to brush aside those nip/tuck rumours in a new interview with Extra.Preston stated that the 48-year-old sister of Michael Jackson got that way because of his handiwork, not a cosmetic surgeon's.brow and how it's going up, and people are calling it a facelift,' Preston said, adding with a laugh: 'Not true at all - just me.'It is the make-up... make-up is made to transform people.'Janet had an oblique line to her cheeks accentuated by slanting eyebrows, and her hair was pulled up in a high ponytail.The singer was clad in a black dress with a glittering necklace adorning her neck.'To me, she looks like Janet, but everyone seems to think she looks, you know, different in some way but I don't think she looks different,' Preston continued.'She's just a gorgeous woman and I think when people see her in public they see how gorgeous she is and they try to figure out what's going on.'Preston, who has been doing Janet's make-up since 2006, described what he did to help Janet achieve that glamorous look for the October 31 event.'I give her a little contouring in the cheek, very little, not too much... give her a wash of bronze over the eyes, nice lash, winged her eye a little bit,' Preston said.'The brows we just filled in slightly. As you can see, she has her hair up in a pony that that's what causing the angle in the eyebrow.'He added: 'It was an outdoor event... we just kept it fresh and simple.'Janet never tells me what to do. She's like, 'Whatever you think.' And that's what happened that day.'I've been travelling with her for 10 years. She is one of the most sweet women I have ever met. And honestly, she does not need make-up. I will never forget when the world renowned makeup artist Kevyn Aucoin (RIP) back in the 90s said "I have worked on pretty much every female celeb you can think of from Monica to Madonna to Tina Turner but I will tell you Janet Jackson is the most gorgoues woman I have EVER seen without makeup in my life. She doesnt even need makeup. Shit like that is all I care about, so fuck da haters out there. jarrylf Posted November 5, 2014 Share Posted November 5, 2014 Someone made a good point on FB, this kind of controversy over "what did Janet do to her face"? happens at almost every event she goes to....but what doesn't happen is her or anyone in her camp responding publically....yet here Preston has her permission...just like Prestons been going around with her all year, no doubt doing her makeup pleanty of times for pleanty of things, but this is the 1 he can post on Instagram....makes you wonder, well makes me does anyway, just a interesting theory. BINGO! lol, Not saying she hasn't said or come out with anything, she actually has a few times this year, but when it comes to her looks and appearance she usually lets the media talks their talk, and until she's asked about it, she keeps it shut Same could be said about the new album "rumors" but my theory on that is because it was credible sources and information getting leaked from producers and writers producers(Jimmy) and her sound engineer, she might've gotten annoyed that it was so many people and she wanted it to be as secritive for as long as possible. (I mean come on last year she confirmed she was working on it, and this year when asked by fans she's the only 1 who said "nothings happening.." lol). That's my interpritation of that part.
