janetDAYZ
Chris Brown has announced that he will begin his Las Vegas residency at Drai's BeachClub & Nightclub on May 2. The show launch doubles as a birthday party for Breezy who turns 26 on the same day. "I want to showcase my talent," Brown says in a presser. "I think I'm underestimated in a sense, like 'Oh yeah, he's cool, but such and such is better.' I'll get certain things like that, so this album is to prove that I'm not better than anybody other than myself, my last hits. I don't want to just put out a couple of hits and be done with it." Brown has a second show scheduled for July 4, and more dates are expected to be announced soon. http://www.rttnews.com/2477900/chris-brown-announces-las-vegas-residency.aspx

janetDAYZ
Why is this becoming the thing now? Artists use to take the walk of shame to the vegas stage. Now its like an "in" thing, oddly. Lucrative, nontheless.

Illi
I'm not big on Chris as I don't think his catalog carries much value (No one will play his stuff 15 years from now.) but I wouldn't call him irrelevant though....
EphraimAdamz
Weird.... I always pictured vegas a place for legends or high profile has beens. Chris may one day be a has been but he was never high profile.
