The Official 2016 Presidential Campaign Thread

Come thru America, we had our first female president 30 years ago but come thru!

Can someone explain the whole far left, right thing to me pweeease?

The far left of politics is one that adopts concepts of liberalism, socialism, and even forms of communism. It's built on the idea of making the system equal to all involved even if it means totally disrupting the system in anarchy to achieve that goal. The far right is pretty much the opposite. They see social inequality as natural and inevitable. They're quite the Social Darwinists meaning that they perverted Darwin's concept of "survival of the fittest" to mean that the more dominant, Type A individuals can do whatever they wish especially to those on the lower rungs of the ladder.

It means something. What, exactly, I'm not sure. Not spoiled for me. I'm sure her idea is fantastic.

I also have plenty of other things I need to watch. :umm: She's my girl, though, so I'll move her to the top of the list and watch tonight after my meeting. -_-

She will be our next president unless something insane about her comes to light.  The republicans will focus on Benghazi and her email issue and when that doesn't work they'll talk about Bill.  People will get tired of that the same way they got tired of the Obama birth certificate search they did.

I strangely enjoy US presidential races, probably because I'm far removed from it. How intensely do you American members feel the frenzy?

At this point, it's one of the biggest spectacles in American culture. It's like the Superbowl for the whole year from the campaign announcements through the Inauguration. You see candidate merchandise like buttons, signs, t-shirts, etc. just about everywhere. Friends, co-workers, family members, will be bitterly at odds the whole year until the election is over if they differ in candidate choice and will constantly discuss it whenever a candidate makes any move whatsoever. It makes up the majority of the news coverage and social media talk from the rallies and debates even to things as simple as who each correspondent wants to win or who they project to win. Hell, during my freshman year of college there were events held on campus to watch the Obama/Romney debates and especially to watch the coverage for Election Day. I remember similar, vaguely, when I was a kid during the Kerry/Bush '04 election. People may not care about politics at any other time, but they definitely do during the Presidential Election season.

Omg the commercials.. All the damn commercials! Not just cable but Hulu as well

As of right now.. Just Internet buzz.

What will be interesting how how Republicans can attempt to win the White House and how the Democrats will try to get people out there to vote

15 minutes Rey.. If that

I saw it, and like I thought, I'd love how she spoke on student loans. She's so right. God, I wish I could vote for her. :( Hopefully, if Hillary or another Dem wins then they'll make her Secretary of Education. -_-

Her dads grave was vandalized by a Republican. That's how low they go.

The gravestone of Hillary Clinton's father Hugh Rodham was found toppled over the day after Clinton announced her candidacy for the White House. The man who takes care of the grave site in Scranton, Pennsylvania believes the toppling was intentional.

There were no serious weather events, according to the funeral director.
