We,ve all witnessed MJ concerts of grown ass women and MEN being carried away on stretchers cuz it was juss to much slayage for one to contain.. but has anyone since then caused their audience to respond in that way? I hear Beyonce supposedly have had ppl faint at her concerts ..and she has med teams on board for these situations..is this true?

And who else has had this sort of reaction besides MJ? I've been goin to concerts for 25 years and have never see this happen in person. Are ppl even fainting anymore?

I've been to quite a few standing shows in my life. 1 was Jessie J, 1 was JT, 1 was Beyonce and 1 was Bey/Jay Z. No one fainted at the Jessie J one or the Justin Timberlake one (No faints at JT surprised me). A few people had to be dragged out of the solo Beyonce show. The On The Run Tour was CRAZY. Some girls fainted before it had even begun :lmao:. I myself very nearly went but the stranger I had been sat next to all day in the queue before the show was like "Bitch you're not missing the show after standing in the sun for 7 hours just to get to the front" so she dragged me back upfrom the floor and I held on to the rails for dear life.

I think fainting is the norm for standing shows. People are so tightly packed together, it gets fucking hot as hell. Not to mention that you have NO space compared to beign seated and you're being shoved around, groped and probably manhandled too. The number of fights in Paris...

People are too busy filming on their smartphones rather than living the moment.

Which I don't understand. I be to Into the moment to be thinking bout holding up a device the whole time. I look at ppl strange becuz of this at concerts. I'm so not apart of the technology craze.

I must say seeing your fav up close and personal is like MCLamb said, it's very surreal. I mean front row Janet Jackson, through the fanclub, and there she is, that person standing there less than 12 feet away is Janet Jackson!!

Now fainting.....I don't see it, not for anyone, thats a level of fandom that goes beyond my pay grade :umm:  In awe? sure, dazzled? all day, crazy jumping up and down? yeppers (Janet only) BUT fainting? Bye Felicia, they shit just like I do :coffee:

I think if Janet ever had a chance of making ppl faint, I would guess it wuld have been the RN tour. It was a HUGE event back then..It was her very FIRST tour and her biggest (as in crowd attendance) ..and she was THE biggest pop star ON EARTH during that time. By that time we had seen all the elaborate dance heavy videos ...we were eagerly foaming at the mouth to see her live!!!! .. So I could imagine it being too much for ppl to handle. I was a 7yo at that concert remember feeling overwhelmed and in disbelief.

So Bee really is the "female version of MJ" afterall? :excited:

LOL hell no.  If anyone fainted at her show it was probably from boredom.  MJ had a whole triage  ER section in the parking lot for his fans. Nothing is worth fainting for these days.

You have really been shading Flops lately. Has Norman taken over your body or na?

Everyone gets shaded - even the ones I like.

I think 1 reason faints went with Michael is because these stars today are too obtainable abd available with social media. In the days of Elvis, The Beatles & later MJ they weren't THIS available to us, you had to wait for their interviews or TV performances to see & hear them. And that's a great way to wind up some energy to explode when you're in the same room as them. That's how I see it, sure some of these lessors get 1 or 2 a tour I'm sure but the days of entire First Aid tents for the audience is gone and unless a ridiculously popular artist goes off the social media grid I don't see it coming back. Like hell think about it, you can see a artists whole show and know the set list and arrangements inside out before you even go to thw show now unless you go to opening night of a tour or you're going to see a artist/performer like Jill or Prince who on tour rarely does the same set list. Every current pop star is too available for that.

^^THAT....Michael said this himself in an interview, that artists needed to understand that having an air of mystery to them only helps their brand. MJ knew this concept and understood it, he criticized Britney for being in the public in some private moments.

Artists today are way too accessible, and even Tina said that you can't just choreograph a song and think performing it the same way works anymore because thanks to the net, kids are seeing performances over and over and they expect more now
