So you're saying pop radio isn't playing R&B music?

 

But Isn't there R&B radio? 

 

R&B is just no longer the phase of pop culture like it was in the 90s... Kinda like complaining about pop radio not playing disco in the 80s

 

But R&B isn't some dated trend though.  I think it is going through a bad period. Hell, there were periods when pop wasn't given the time of day on radio.

R&B is a term for music that appeals to the urban African American community. It goes back to the 40s, so it's definitely no trend.  R&B just has to find a way of re-inventing itself if it wants to be popular again.
