Rock & Roll Hall of Game
Conversations in a Café (CIAC) Before Janet starts rehearsing today, I thought about how CIAC would be the ideal album title. It's so versatile like "Discipline" and "Control".. Yet it sends a powerful message like RN1814 and TVR.. Yet it is relatable like AFY If you think of Starbucks (a billion dollar corporation) when you think about a "cafe" you need to get out more
bu.
I like it but to be honest I don't care that much about the title. As long as it actually ties in with the theme of the album this time, unlike the last one. If you think of Starbucks (a billion dollar corporation) when you think about a "cafe" you need to get out more This
Rock & Roll Hall of Game
Janet explained what Discipline meant to each song on the album. She was high when she thought of the concept for that album You have to hear her reasons for it but there are reasons despite it being too deep to understand by just listening to it

janetDAYZ
Yes!!! >>> I'm praying its the actual title. The title alone has "critically acclaim" written all over it lol
hotboy06
I wouldn't mind it at all. Seems like that's the foundation of how the concept of the album will be..and the issues she will talk about. But if it's not the album title, the alternative better be DOPE.
LawdToday
eh i think its a great starting point but idk abt the whole theme of the album centering around that. Its a nice title tho
Utopia
Don't like it. She can do better and be a lot clever with it. She did it with the velvet rope so she can do it again.
RedSimba
It would make a cool title! Cafes have all types of convos so I'd see it having a variety of themes. If nothing else, it sets the tone.
lexus97
if she name it that it will eventually be just intitals cuss people are too lazy to spell out anything

SonofBaldwin
As a writer, I know that one of the toughest things to come up with is the right title. In order to know if Conversations in a Cafe is the right title, I would need to hear the whole album. The title is what sums up a body of work or what best explains the body of work as a whole. It's hard to know if Conversations in a Cafe is the right title without first knowing what themes Janet is dealing with on the album and how that theme plays out in the songs.
Bailey
A member on here said it so good a few weeks ago but I can't remember which one (Voodoo?), or what thread or what he said. I think the title "Discipline" meant many things, the amount of work she has accomplished required discipline to achieve....the values she holds ....and more
Rock & Roll Hall of Game
I think the title "Discipline" meant many things, the amount of work she has accomplished required discipline to achieve....the values she holds ....and more None of the songs say that. That's the issue fans were having.
Jodienda76
I don't care if she calls it "Hick Talk At The Trailer Park." I want great songs, great interludes, great content.
God
Lmao honestly it's been too long since Discipline that I'll accept anything as the album title. I just want to be able to HEAR the bitch in 2015 but "Make Me" and even "N*thing" tell me that's still possible.
