The overall student loan debt is at an all time high of 1.2 TRILLION dollars. Has this caused a problem...is this the resolution? I seen that Whoopi Goldberg just recently stated that whoever runs for presidency, should FORGIVE THIS DEBT if they really wanna persuade voters. She also said the fact that student loans are debts that haunt our everyday lives ..its become a turn off for kids to wanna go to college not wanting to become entangled up in this web of debt. How long will they have to pay on it and how much a month are they required to pay? What about the interest rate? Trust me, those are hard to come by. There would also be a lot of jealous people that already paid off their student loans and now someone else doesn't have to pay theirs back.. They felt that way when Obama wanted to have the first two years of community college free.. They claim people will receive a handout.. Like republicans don't like free stuff.. We need to create jobs that will allow students to actually pay their loans back, or create incentives to reduce the loan burden. For example, some medical school students see loan forgiveness if they go practice in an area that needs doctors. I believe its all a game, and folks have to know how to play that game, if you can get a ride on a scholarship, get it, a lot of my education was paid for by someone else, thanks to employer tuition reimbursement. Point is if your gonna have some piece of paper on your wall, that paper better get you a job lined up before you exit college.
