Kaleidoscope Eyes
Both tracks have been interpreted as farewell tracks, but now that theory has been debunked regarding Curtains since we saw the release of Unbreakable. I personally love Curtains and it has slowly become a top 10 Janet song for me. Those muffled horns, layered vocals etc. are just heavenly. Back in 08 the song used to get me so teary-eyed, because it was my freshman year of college and I had left all my old friends behind. Well Travelled is okay too but I usually skip it. I can see why some fans like it though maybe it grow on me in the coming years.
LyricalLesson
"Well Travelled" is going to mop the floor with this one here in this forum...but I'm with you: "Curtains" is a slow-burning, smooth banger that appreciates more and more with each listen! That classic, silky, seductive Janet vocal though. "Curtains" gets my vote, easily.
DarkStormSC
I love them both. Curtains is sooooo sexy to me. It's one of the many Janet tracks on the playlist for me. But between the two, I have to pick well traveled. I love that Janet wrote it; I love the slight nod to folk country; I love the lyrics, and the song just fits a lot of my feelings in life right now.
jarrylf
Well Traveled is so much better than Curtains, I like Curtains, but I've never loved it really. Well Traveled I love.
Rock & Roll Hall of Game
Both tracks are outstanding... Curtains burned pretty quickly for me.. One of the stand out tracks I enjoyed from week 1 of Discipline but since Janet didn't bother writing on that album, Well-Traveled is better 1

Utopia
Curtains is a piece of turd melting in the sahara desert when compared to something as GOOD as Well Travelled. Never cared or even understood why some fans love Curtains so much. For me is just as barf indulging as Greatest X... But then again, every single slow "jam" on DC is really really BAD.
RedSimba
"Well Traveled" has a more grand and anthem-like quality to me.

But then again, (3.) every single slow "jam" on DC is really really BAD.You just hurt my heart...3 times in 3 mere sentences. (1.) As previously stated, I dig "Curtains" a lot.(2.) I LOVE "Greatest X" (which I know saying this yet again is akin to beating a dead horse). (3.) You feel this way about "Can't B Good" ?!?!?! ontologicalummah
I never interpreted Curtains as a farewell track more a bedroom jam but I also honestly haven't listened to Discipline all the way through more than once or twice since buying it in 08.

JJATL
Well traveled by a looooooong mile. It means something, is much better produced and much more of a vocal performance by Janet. I get goosebumps every ime I hear it. Just a great piece of music, honestly.Curtains is just....bad. Poorly sung and weak.

vibeology
Curtains is one the few saving graces of Discipline. Don't like the way it's sung, but still like the track. I'm starting to think Well Traveled is getting overatted here, much as I like it lyrically/vocally, it's not a fav.

The Sacred Prostitute
No comparison.....Well Traveled. The song is actually the direction I would like Janet to take if she ever makes another album. Curtains! You got to be kidding me.
The Sacred Prostitute
Never heard "Well Traveled" but Sheets is my jam. You might think it's cute to make backhanded comments regarding Janet on her own forum but it's becoming odious.

There's nothing backhanded about it. And if you don't like it, tough shit for you.
