It marks the first time that Netflix has announced it will cancel a show of their own original content. Netflix viewership is suspected to be the culprit, however Netflix has notoriously kept its viewership of shows an industry secret. Rumored to be one plausible cause for the cancellation is the cost of producing the show. Netflix does not allow for any of its shows to go into reruns on TV, as such they do pay a high premium upfront to the studios producing their content guaranteeing a profit for the studio producing the show.
