Bailey
....Apple CEO, Tim Cook just took a 15% cut in pay due to lagging sales at AppleApple's sales slump is taking a bite out of Tim Cook's paycheck. The iPhone maker cut Cook's pay by 15% last year to $8.7 million, according to a filing released on Friday. Apple (AAPL, Tech30) specifically cited the company's failure to meet its performance goals for both sales and profits. Shrinking iPhone sales last year caused Apple to suffer its first annual revenue decline in 15 years. Now Apple's board is holding its CEO and other leaders accountable for the stumbles. While Cook's salary rose to $3 million from $2 million last year, his cash bonus took a hit. Apple awarded Cook and other executives 89.5% of their target, instead of the maximum amount like in recent years. That meant Cook's cash bonus fell to $5.4 million in 2016, down from $8 million the year before. All told, Cook's total compensation was $8.7 million last year, compared with $10.3 million in 2015. Edited January 8, 2017 by Bailey. Right! I don't understand people who run out every year and buy the newest phone. The shit is literally the same phone.

Bailey
It's not the same phone tho there are slight improvements each and every yearthis is true, but from a consumer stand point they are going to have to do way more innovation to keep customers purchasing at that price point. They fail to justify the price point nothing phenomanal has occurred with them since they went from the 5, and even then it was just a bigger screen version, which Samsung had long adopted before Apple. So yea they improve the camera, the processor gets a tad faster, blah blah, nothing to write home about

BlackCat77
Lol they expected too much from people if they thought losing the standard headphone jack wasn't going to make a difference. And no, the adapter doesn't cut it either

So idk what you're talking aboutalso most consumers keep their iPhones for two years before upgrading (18 months or whatever). Meaning the majority of consumers who upgraded to the iPhone 7 were iPhone 6 or lessor users. Water resistance is the reason they removed the headphone jack. Not to make it thinner
