The Janet Jackson Praise Thread

2crkcgp.jpg

With a career spanning nearly 4 decades, Janet has released groundbreaking songs, albums, and videos. As she watered her spiritual garden, she has been celebrated for her contributions to the world during her journey. Here, we congregate in the Kingdom Hall of Janhova's Witnesses to bring the testimonies of her children as they pay their respects to the goddess.

Obama is clearly a fan, he quotes WHYDFML in the Christmas special with Oprah

“People aren’t interested in what you’ve inherited…[it’s like] ‘What have you done for me lately?’” he said. “I’m not interested in spinning my way out of it.”

Alexis Jordan is a new girl on Jay-Z's label who is about to replace Rihanna who says Janhova is one of her biggest inspirations.

JJ: Who are your musical inspirations?

AJ: Janet Jackson, Beyonce, of course, Mariah Carey, Christina Aguilera, Michael Jackson. I actually met Beyonce a couple of times. We hang out at Jay-Z concerts a lot. I’ve met Mariah Carey, too. Really pretty and awesome.

Take note of how she names Janet first. B)

Jay-Z compares Rhinoceros' album "Good Girl Gone Bad" to Control

Rhinoceros also talks about how Janhova was the first girl she could relate to.

“Janet Jackson was one of the first female pop icons that I could relate to, she was so vibrant, she had so much energy. She still has power. I’ve seen her on stage, and she can stand there for 20 minutes and have the whole arena scream at her. You have to love Janet.”

Omarion talks about how Janet's music has influenced his artistry:

I heard a thing that Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis said about Janet Jackson: They said, 'If you ever want to know Janet, just listen to her music.' That's why I want people to listen to my music. I want them to know me."

Johnathan Ogden, some random football player, is a disciple

girlfriend got two tickets, and I told her, “Sorry, I need those tickets for J.O. He’s a big Janet Jackson fan.” Instead of going to the concert with my girlfriend, I went with a 6’9″ guy who weighed more than 300 pounds and who screamed “Janet!” the whole night like a teenage girl.
