  1. Right but I remember saying that it wasn't going to be anything back then lol. What happen was they used that hashtag the first time to refer to where the beginning processes of the album began, because they discussed having a conversation in a cafe. Then fans RAN with it, thinking it was the album title which would have been TERRIBLE in my opinion & then they just played into it to keep the fans engaged and thrown off.
  2. I beg to differ. When she dropped No Sleeep originally the song was exactly 3:33 seconds as well. So there's that...everything about the release in the BEGINNING was very deliberate. And if I remember correctly Jimmy & Janet were hashtagging 333 by itself without it being in the song title. It wasn't one of those text speak situations. It was more direct.
  3. interesting. It could be, something new for Dubai? Although I think Dave Meyers already did the footage for the tour. Also why would she need to recreate a full video shoot/set for the tour. It will be interesting to see. I'm sure more will surface soon. What we do know is there has been new footage shot recently.
  4. Glad to see Tony confirm that. It's going to be good to see another video. I've had a theory for a long time & I hope she does capitalize. I feel this year is symbolic & if you remember Janet played into the symbolism very heavily at the beginning of the project. She used, 333 & 11 in the beginning of the project which for those who know, are symbolic numbers. With deep meaning. In the year or "16" she will be 50 on the 16th. It's also the age MJ died at & that has its own significance. So I feel she could use that big 50 to her advantage and let it all fall into place. BUT with the setbacks she's faced it could be kinda difficult. But not impossible. As long as everything goes as planned with the tour dates.
  5. I stand corrected, her saying having your own ID...was never interpreted to be related to ID from Discipline for me, still isn't...but ok. And if you're referring to her mentioning Show me love & keep the conversation going, that's a deep stretch. I do think the song is about her career being pigeon holed for the last few albums before Unbreakable & I think she is talking about some of the issues she faced with labels, but you definitely stretched the interpretation by connecting those dots to the songs. Not the concept but the words being due to the other songs lol. Ya same ol' song Is draggin me down Not good for my body Change it up Cuz it ain't nothing like Having your own ID My lanes been stuck I've never been afraid To swich oh no not me And they show me love For being original And tell 'em make room Shake the room Bang bang ya gon gon get it You gotta get up off that grey line And can't nobody tell you What you can't do Shut that down automatic And I'll guarantee they'll fall in line Watch 'em all go Dammn baby baby, watch 'em all go Dammn baby baby, watch 'em all go Dammn baby baby, watch 'em all go Dammn baby baby A brend new movement That started with a Conversation in a café It's all about love And how we ain't gon never let Words get in the way When you're giving it up It's never what you say It sayin' what you do You wanna show me love Let's keep that conversation honey And tell 'em make room Shake the room Bang bang ya gon gon get it You gotta get up off that grey line And can't nobody tell you What you can't do Shut that down automatic And I'll guarantee they'll fall in line Watch 'em all go Dammn baby baby, watch 'em all go Dammn baby baby, watch 'em all go Dammn baby baby, watch 'em all go Dammn baby baby Gonna break it down, break it down, break it down Gonna break it down, break it down Gonna break it down, break it down Watching them all go dammn Watching them all go dammn Watching them all go dammn baby Watching them all go And tell 'em make room Shake the room Bang bang ya gon gon get it You gotta get up off that grey line And can't nobody tell you What you can't do Shut that down automatic And I'll guarantee they'll fall in line Watch 'em all go Dammn baby baby, watch 'em all go Dammn baby baby, watch 'em all go Dammn baby baby, watch 'em all go Dammn baby baby Dammn baby baby, watch 'em all go Dammn baby baby, watch 'em all go Dammn baby baby, watch 'em all go Dammn baby baby
  6. lol she doesn't say anything about Discipline, Luv or ID in the song....you're talking about in Dammn Baby right?
  7. Don't think the bring back our girls is funny...nonetheless I love Dammn Baby, the only thing I feel is what Dal said...the filter they have on her lead vocals makes it sound very techy until the breakdown. And I actually HATE the lyrics of the chorus when she says "bang bang you Gon gon get it" lol the writing could have been better and it sounds cheesy to me, especially with the message of the whole song lol. But overall the song is the shit
  8. Dammn Baby seems to be the song everyone who is not a fan clicks with from the first time they hear it. This is interesting....
  9. I've been seeing this floating around. I'm going to really chill & have no expectations. If it's true it will be more exciting having not expected it, if it isn't then no harm no foul. Also I saw those pix when they were originally posted by Gil but it will be interesting to see
  10. I don't think Janet looks sad, I think she doesn't look interested. As in, she's just not into the celebrity glitz and hoopla anymore. She seems removed from the whole Hollywood culture & it comes off as if she likes it that way. She doesn't seem like she's very "goofy" & playful as we may have seen her in past years but to be honest that seems like she's just matured beyond some the ways we used to see. If Janet is upset about anything over the years I think it's going to be the fall of her business plan to tour. I'm sure her personal life was probably content, and she's just living a more purpose driven life.
  11. I don't think Janet is the same person she used to be, but in a good way...despite the way this is all going down. Also, I don't think it's rude to tell people to leave you the fuck alone when they're fucking with you. Mind your business, that's just in general. Get the fuck on about your life. I don't think common people realize the high level of intense scrutiny major artist face.
  12. I think when it comes down to it, no one is thinking Janet doesn't care. If the truth be told it hurts her more than it hurts any disappointed fan. This is a career she worked hard for, compromised things for, fought lawyers, executives, industry parasites, family, friends, & insanity to maintain. Her entire life, since 5-7 years old, has been shaped around this career and record in some form or fashion. So honestly, I'm sure she is hurt & pissed & maybe at times felt a little defeated dealing with all the business of this. So to argue she doesn't care, IMO is senseless, BUT the way the business is handled does matter to those who support your brand. She started the album with "I'm glad you're still here" which means she knows it's many times people could have said fuck this. I know she feels grateful to know people STILL wanted to hear from her. So, in an effort to "Keep the conversation going" she could have just did one of those :30 videos saying..."I'm sorry it didn't go as planned, I'm sincerely trying to make it up to you." Shit, we got paparazzi footage of her out & about or at Fashion Week she could have made a statement that hits home for fans. If it is due to low sales that actually could hurt even more to her to know that she's in lower demand than anticipated. AND it could make her start losing out on shows in the US if they think she's going to cancel. It's a long month between Dubai & her first American show, I hope when she goes away it doesn't result in her not returning for good.
  13. I get this. Part of me really does believe it was due to low sales. I think what has happened with Janet is scalpers buy the tickets up first, or maybe some kind of hold must be put on the ticket, then up charge for the tickets because they feel she's a high grossing artist, but it has backfired because people might not have been buying those tickets. So when they are released or when they see that the venues are not full enough they see they can't cover the production or will only break even. That's just speculation but I think it definitely has to do with sales. It's the only thing that makes sense. They might have over estimated the venue size.
  14. If Janet can let fans know she's excited to "meet" them via video promo, then she can let fans know "she's disappointed" in the same way. One is more direct than the other. When you get a tweet, it could come from anywhere (even if I do believe she tweeted it) but Janet is a professional. To act like because she's pissed off she can't make a statement means that during the entire Super Bowl era, the MJ trial, death, Latoya fiasco in the 90s, the reporter attacking her, the Ms.Jones interview...she would have flown off the handle. She is able to maintain composure & speak. We've seen her do it countless times. Also, her leaving it to Live Nation to inform the fans "since they made the decision" is a lackluster way of handling it as well because her fanbase is not a Live Nation fanbase, in other words if Live Nation cuts EVERY show...it doesn't hurt their brand of concert goers. It hurts hers. People will still go to a Live Nation show. Her tweeting her lyrics is not the same as her sending a video message. It doesn't have the same impact, period.
  15. I would've put something out a little more direct and personal to the fans in Europe. At least one of those laying down videos, it's possible that Janet's hands are tied & she has a limited amount that she can say. But a short video saying, "Hey guys, I hate that things didn't go as planned...sometimes it's out of my control. I intend to reschedule those dates if possible. Europe I love you beyond words." People would be upset but they would feel let down easier. Just randomly tweeting lyrics feels distant and cold. lol And this video could have been released a long time ago because it's obviously old...but that's neither here nor there, I wouldn't have said "what what I'm doing, watch where I'm going..." When she's been on a low profile & people are watching, but she's not showing up. I love this woman to the end, as an individual but it's still business. I'm sure she knows this isn't going anywhere near as planned.
  16. LOLOL! I want to see her do Europe too, but Europe seems to disagree lol. Idk what's up with that. I wondered if she would hit Africa & Australia, & I'm not sure if she has dates there already but if not, it's going to be hard to get more dates at this point.
  17. I hope there's professional footage of this performance and I hope she kills it. I hope there's something that keeps the era going before and after this. The only thing I can think would cancel those tour dates is a lack of sales & not having enough to recoup production cost.
  18. The difference between this and the other dates is that the venues and live nation also supported the fact that the shows will be rescheduled. I fear these won't be rescheduled. At this point the era has really silently flew under the radar for a long time. I think it's standard to say you're going to reschedule. RWU tour dates were supposed to be rescheduled too. I want her to still keep her US tour dates.
  19. I wonder if it has anything to do with family? Her coming back to LA even though she's supposed to be in Dubai soon makes me wonder. I guess there was no real reason to be in Europe anymore. She's been all over the scene of Europe, I wonder what would have stopped it. Especially after she made videos saying she's excited to talk to the fans and meet them. I feel this has to be some kind of conflict with the promoter...Live Nation. If so, that won't be good for other dates. I pray for a miracle on her behalf.
