Go ahead Qatar!  Bow down to your Queen!  That top 20 of countries is very promising without any promotion and considering that Janet never really promoted much Internationally except for Japan.

Not sure what you're basing that on exactly? Back in the golden days she did plenty of interviews and performances overseas :)

Janet Jackson is heading for her seventh No. 1 album on the Billboard 200 chart with Unbreakable. Industry forecasters suggest the set -- which was released on Oct. 2 through the diva’s own Rhythm Nation label through BMG -- may earn upwards of 100,000 equivalent album units in the week ending Oct. 8.

The Billboard 200 chart ranks the most popular albums of the week based onmulti-metric consumption, which includes traditional album sales, track equivalent albums (TEA) and streaming equivalent albums (SEA). The top 10 of the Oct. 24-dated Billboard 200 chart (where Jackson will likely debut at No. 1) is scheduled to be revealed on Billboard’s Web sites on Sunday, Oct. 11.

Unbreakable is Jackson’s first studio album since 2008’s Discipline, which bowed atop the Billboard 200, selling 181,000 copies in its first week (according to Nielsen Music).

Jackson earlier led the Billboard 200 with All for You (in 2001), The Velvet Rope (1997), janet. (1993), Janet Jackson’s Rhythm Nation 1814 (1989) and Control(1986).

Back in the golden days up until Damita Jo I would say you are right.  But in general I still think as well as other fans that she never attacked her international fanbase as much as she could have. At the end of the day I'm saying the new album is being received very positively internationally.  She might even debut in the top 10 in the UK.

Even in Damita Jo she still did promo in Europe. The public just weren't here for it.

20 Y.O and Discipline definitely had lacklustre promo though.

Probably outside the top 10 at this rate sadly, due to her sliding down slowly.

I'm annoyed it's slipping but it's better than 63 which is what she got for Discipline with an actual single that was doing well on radio and TV before it got cancelled. 20 YO peaked at 63 too. I'm so proud of her and people (casual listeners) are actually liking the music again which is a good sign. Promo would have been cute but that's just not happening
