Janet's Top 5 Live Performances! (Video) Agree?!

Stop acting intelligent about some shit you're just being disagreed with. I'm more than knowledgeable about the evolution & roots of dance Janet just didn't convey this deep message & direction that you're trying to turn that performance into. And IF that was her goal she missed the mark. You literally are the only who read that deep into her strutting around in high heels. You don't see anyone else jumping to your aide or EVER having mentioned anything remotely close to your overzealous dissertation.

You can call it ignorance, lol, so be it. Nonetheless, that lackluster performance is not her best. If it is Mariah's performance of Honey is one of the greatest of all time. It took the same effort.

Well this is all the more reason why you should have a similar analysis of the AI performance versus reducing the performance to a "strut" or "strutting", as you deemed it. The performance of the song is very similar to the video, the choreography is just different. But the style of dance, the concept/storytelling, and the organization? All the same.

And plz don't belittle "Honey". That video pushed the boundaries of movement in contemporary dance, and set a new precedent for breakdowns in video and live choreography.

Here's some more links where you can learn so the next time you have this discussion you'll have an idea of what you're talking about:

Like I said put up a million references & you're still operating on an overthought over read idea of AI. It was a lackluster performance. Because I disagree with you does not mean I'm uninformed. I just disagree.

If a dance historian didn't agree with you now they just didn't see it? No. Maybe you saw what you wanted. I've seen Janet tell stories & push the envelope - that wasn't that.

Stating an interpretation of the storytelling component of a pierce of choreography is not "over thought" (which is two words btw). The choreography represents a statement of control, period. It's not a matter of disagreeing, it's a matter of your negligible knowledge of the art of dance. This is why you've gotta read those links so that you'll be able to have an intelligent conversation on this topic.

LOL, it's absolutely your interpretation. Not intelligence just perspective.

AI looked lazy to me, and I didn't like it, Janet had that short hair which I didn't care for either we were used to Janet having long hair. I just didn't like AI it didn't have the "spirit" of a Janet performance.

I loved everything about Janet with short hair but I agree the performance was very lazy & lacked spirit.

Nasty on Oprah was better than the AI version

By far! Lmao. She was live - vocally, she danced & didn't just strut around, she seemed to be more engaged in the actual performance. So yea totally. Honestly - I just don't see how AI can make the greatest performance list when it was barely performed.
