I disagree. Drugs are a choice. That person chose to stick a needle in their arm or snort a line or smoke a spoon. True, the vast majority of mental health sufferers don’t do drugs. But then again you don’t do drugs if you are happy. So maybe people who choose to take drugs are just self medicating for underlying issues, the Debarges being prime examples. It’s an emotion like sadness, anger... temporary Everyone has a drug whether it’s caffeine, nicotine, sugar, marijuana, alcohol, cocaine... whatever it maybe to stimulate our body does not determine someone’s happy level.
