Sneak down the stairs...

Recommended Posts

Get money for the fare
Time is of the essence
So I'll tell the driver hurry up
I can't sit still
I'm like a little kid
Smilin' 'cause I'll be in your arms in a minute
Times like this...
Can't afford to miss
Worth the risk of getting caught
Just to have your kiss
And when I have to go (it's the saddest ?)
But I'm so glad to know
I'll see you tomorrow...

I liked this song, but it wasn't one of my favorites on the album. It WAS one of the songs casual and non Janet friends of mine bumped to the most, though.

Thanks for bringing me back/its been awhile. I like(d) the song, but never bother to look up the lyrics, though I knew it was Daybreak from the thread title.

Daybreak is my favorite Janet song post AFY and in between Unbreakable. 20 came out my senior year of HS and I would blast the song everywhere in my first car. New Janet album + first car= “Bad” results

Wow. You’re a year younger than I.

20 came out during my freshman year of uni and I love to walk the campus listening to Enjoy and this song

Nowadays I change “taxi ride” to “UBER drive” ??‍♂️?

I actually really enjoy Daybreak to this day. I think it and Take Care are my favourites off 20YO. I feel like it could have been Escapade's younger (less successful) sibling if it were released as a single.

I actually like this song more today than I did 12 years ago. I used to skip it.
