This comes fresh from the announcement that the controversial doc, which follows the long-standing accusations of sexual abuse against the King of Pop, will screen at the festival on January 25.

Leaving Neverland, which will screen in the special events category, tells the story of two boys, now in their 30s, who say they were sexually abused by Jackson when they were ages 7 and 10. It features interviews with the two men.

It is exec produced by Nancy Abraham and Lisa Heller, executive vice presidents of HBO Documentary and Family Programming, and Channel 4 Specialist Factual commissioner Tom Porter.

Yesterday, following the Sundance announcement, a rep of Jackson’s estate contacted Deadline to call Leaving Neverland “just another rehash of dated and discredited allegations” against the Thriller singer.

I think y’all need to just watch it.. with an open mind. I will :)

I have NEVER and will NEVER be a “wacko”! I’m simply on the side that makes sense! MJ was falsely accused and the parents of the children just wanted money. PERIOD! But I’ll indugle your feelings and watch. 😝

Cool. If you know the truth then you have no issue watching the documentary

I will definitely watch with an open mind.  But, the difference in MJ accusations and some of these others is he actually had his day in court.

And was acquitted.  Every time the accusations fell apart under scrutiny. If you listen to the testimony and read the motivations I mean I couldn't convict either.  Everyone can agree he was weird as fuck.  I mean mutilated himself with plastic surgery, reclusive to the point of weirdness.  Grown man with lots of attachments to children who is wealthy but not very smart with his money opens himself up to being taken advantage of.

And a lot of these people that came out actually stood up for him at various points.  Only to come back later and change their stories.  He is dead now, it is easy to come crying on tv and say whatever you want as long as there is no rebuttal no other witness.

I wasn't in the rooms I cant say he's some misunderstood angel.  All I can say is actually listening to these claims and reading and hearing reporting on actual testimony I wouldn't convict as a juror either.  And when you can say someone as "weird" as Michael was, and famous and where we had ALL heard the rumors and tabloids etc and STILL they believed him over accusers.  I think that has weight

MJ Stans, of course, failed to get documentary cancelled despite their weak efforts of emailing and boycotting the media giants HBO and the sundance music festival

kiiiiii the Wackos are fuming and foaming at the mouth

The documentary screen January 25 and will be available on HBO the next day

I knew this would happen. That R Kelly documentary was only an appetizer to rally the cancel culture, MJ is really their target and that will always be the case. He is getting a whole Sundance premiere....oh they must got some tea tea, even if it's lies. Putting those accusations back into the universe is NOT a good look. Lord be with them test tube babies...they are already so fragile.

This has nothing to do with R Kelly

There’s no need to compare the two.

I don’t think this docu is to spread lies about MJ. It just follows the lives of those who accused him of it. That’s all

Since 'Surving R Kelly'...MJ is always brought up and compared. You got people commenting this very moment linking the two together. There may be no need to compare but people are doing.

And I said that I don't know if it's lies but I do know that it's not a good look.

Chile... Didn't Janet tell this child NOT to enter the industry until she is older? Paris is hard headed. If she keeps this up she will end up like Lisa Marie Presley. Paris looks like she on drugs and she smokes heavily. I feel sorry for his kids though. They have everything but nothing at all. I couldn't imagine always having people not only accusing my father of child molestation but saying you don't belong to that family anyway. Even with all that money. Their life will be hard. Moral of the story.... Money ain't everything!!!

Yeah they are pissed!!!! I don't know if MJ did are didn't do this. But it always bothered me that he couldn't just stop inviting kids to Neverland. His relationship with the Omer B. kid is off putting too... In any case I hope he didn't touch those kids because Wade is basically saying Michael raped him for several years...
