But as rumors of Mariah having another miscarriage with her twins begin to swirl around the internet, a rep for Carey says it’s “completely not true.” The website Bricks and Stones Gossip started the rumor that a source close to Mariah revealed that she was no longer pregnant with the twins, citing the reason as an addiction to prescription pills as to why she cannot carry full-term. The reports began to spread all over the internet, with various news sites and fan forums beginning to report the story. But Mariah’s rep tells CNS, “What a horrible rumor...completely not true!” Upon Carey confirming her pregnancy late last year, she also revealed that she had a miscarriage during a previous pregnancy back in 2008. The experience, she said, was an eye-opener for her and husband Nick Cannon. "I've never really been a very forthcoming person about my personal stuff,” she told Access Hollywood. “It kind of shook us both and took us into a place that was really dark and difficult. When that happened ... I wasn't able to even talk to anybody about it. That was not easy." So baseless rumors aside, Mariah and Nick are still are happily expecting their twins.
