The Official "Award Season" thread: GAME OF THRONES MAKES HISTORY AT EMMYS 2019

Recommended Posts

they gave away the minority award :clapping:

I'm glad she won. I liked the girl who played Celia Foote too.

I meant Madonna is now widely referred to as the Queen of Pop not Janet

Janet was nominated once :tear:

Janet has only ever done the whole prestigious GG/Oscar worthy movie/music thing once for which she got nominated for. Had she gone down that route more then she'd be nominated more.

Alot of suprises and snubs in certain categories.

No Leo or Armie Hammer nominations for "J. Edgar".

Gary Oldman getting a Best Actor nomination for TTSS. Could be the darkhorse in that category.

No Michael Fassbender for "Shame".

Tilda Swinton was shut out of the Best Actress Category for Mara.

Melissa McCarthy got a supporting nomination for "Bridesmaids"(although I think she was funny, I found Kristen Wiig to be my fave in the movie.

Only 9 best picture nominees.

And it looks like this will be Meryl's year. But wouldn't it be interesting if her and Viola Davis could tie for Best Actress. It's happened before and it could happen this year(wishful thinking). -_-
