It is crazy right? he comes up with really interesting ideas, interesting characters, has a great season or at most 2 and then he just gets too outlandish too out there and fucks it all up.

Kathryn Joosten got an emmy nomination!

Yeah, I knew she was gonna get off..but I didn't know who was gonna take the fall..I think it was brilliant for Karen to take the fall. And that nod she gave the judge after her "confession".. :lmao:I hope she gets a supporting nod because she was excellent! She's won 2 emmys as a guest star.

Renee really did shine in the finale though..I loved the way she let loose in the limo and when she finally made it to the church! :lmao:

I wonder if Miss Emmy is gonna show them some love since it's off the air.. :sigh:

:coffee:

I so need to watch Veep! I keep reading great things about it.

I'm here for Homeland and Claire Dames sweeping!

Dexter and Breaking Bad deserve a win.

Fuck Mad Men.

HBO,' Game of Thrones' Lead Nominations for TV's Emmy Awards

LOS ANGELES — HBO and its medieval fantasy series "Game of Thrones" led nominations on Tuesday for the Emmy awards, the highest honors in television.

HBO got a leading 137 nominations, 32 of them for three-times best drama series winner "Game of Thrones," and recognition for lead actors Kit Harington and Emilia Clarke. The 32 nods for "Game of Thrones," which concluded its final season in May, marked a record high for a drama program in a single year.

Netflix followed with 117 nominations, led by its searing racial justice drama "When They See Us," and surreal time-loop comedy "Russian Doll."

Amazon Studio's bubbly "The Marvelous Mrs Maisel" got 20 nominations, making it a strong contender for a repeat win in the best-comedy series category, while HBO's limited series "Chernobyl," a recreation of the 1986 Russian nuclear power disaster, had 19.tical satire "Veep" will compete for its fourth Emmy as best comedy series, along with star Julia Louis-Dreyfus.

Other contenders in the comedy series category are "Barry," quirky British show "Fleabag," "The Good Place," "Russian Doll" and "Schitt's Creek."

Joining "Game of Thrones" in the top category of best drama series are "Better Call Saul," British thrillers "Bodyguard" and "Killing Eve," "Ozark," transgender show "Pose", family drama "This is Us" and media mogul dynasty series "Succession."

The Emmy awards will be handed out at a ceremony in Los Angeles on Sept. 22.

"When They See Us" need to snatch some awards. :excited: So happy for the recognition.  I'ma have to watch "Schitt's Creek"..I have it saved on Netflix.

"Succession" got into Best Drama Series but no acting nominations.. HBO dropped the ball but with GOT gone, they can concentrate on this show now.

The voters are either gonna give GOT their flowers or cater to the stupid backlash.  NO other show over the past year got as much coverage as GOT and the academy rewarded it with the most nominations.

I have a feeling that it's gonna win Best Drama Series and all the technical awards.  Emilia may win best actress..Maisie may win BSA..and Peter Dinklage is gonna win for BSA.  They may cancel each other out and don't win shit. :lmao:

I'm definitely watching the Emmys this year..:cheer:
