Putting people in their place when they try and get cute.

So yesterday at work, I received an email from one of the temporary agencies that my company utilizes. The agency rep wanted to know the status of a few invoices that were billed to our company. She had also cc'ed her boss on the email, who is the Branch Manager of that area. I informed her that from my understanding, the checks for those payments are on their way and she should be receiving them soon. The Agency Rep politely thanked me for my response and left it alone. Her boss, the Branch Manager, however tried to get smart. She responds directly to me and said "What does on the way mean exactly? Was it mailed can I get a check #?"

Now, my initial reaction was to tell her off about her poor grammar since I am a customer of hers and I know she needs our company's business because my company is a big account of hers. But I decided I was going to leave that funky email with the poor grammar alone. Until... she realized who she sent the email to and tried to recall it. I received an email notification that the Branch Manager wanted to recall that recent message and I received the notification with HIGH importance. I then realized that I was going to teach her a lesson. Don't try to be all rude and sassy with me, and then try and delete your evidence. That just doesn't work. SO I denied her request to recall that message. What's even worse is that after I denied her request, she tried to recall the message AGAIN. So I did the first thing that came to mind, and I hit "Reply." In my response email, I cc'ed her subordinate, the polite Agency Representative, and I also cc'ed MY BOSS, the Human Resources Manager; the HR Manager is the one that makes decisions regarding our choice for temporary agencies and she comes from a customer service background.

So in my email, I broke it down for her. I informed her that I received the information regarding the invoices and the adjustments that were appended to the invoices two weeks ago. I told her that in case she forgot, our Accounting Department takes about two weeks in issuing checks and if she and her team were more efficient in sending me the adjustment, they'd have their check by now. I also told her the date the invoice was posted in the Accounting software system, and I informed the poor dear that "on its way is exactly what it means: it's on its way. And no, I don't have a check number. I hope I have provided you with sufficient information, but should you have anymore inquiries, please do not hesitate to let me know."

It took her about an hour to respond to my email, in which she simply thanked me and said that she will do the best she can to be more efficient.

Lesson to be learned: If you're going to be a bitch in a professional environment, PLEASE be careful who you're dealing with. The poor dear was so shocked when she saw my reply, the Agency Rep was calling me apologizing.

So needless to say, I had some fun yesterday

Okay, so I'm working my way to get back into shape. It is holiday season and that is always the most dangerous time for me. I am getting back into my diet because we are having a Holiday Party for my company and I would like to wear a nice dress for this event. Of course, if everything goes great, I will have found another, better paying job, and I won't have to worry about that But that's another story.

So I'm watching what I'm eating. However, I do splurge a little bit on my breakfast and I refuse to compromise I love to go to Subway and get the Western Egg and Cheese on flatbread. This is what it looks like on a wheat muffin:

It's egg white, green peppers, and onions. I actually don't get cheese (I can do without), so I add jalapenos, mustard, and just a small helping of ranch. And I have it ready on some flatbread. It's nice and spicy and wakes me up in the morning. However, the jalapenos don't help my case to prove that I am not, in fact, Hispanic

But I think I'll update this with more of what I eat and what I make whenever I'm bored lol.

What to take from this blog: I am dieting, even though I'm splurging with the ranch a bit. Moderation is key

    Much love,

    Angie
