  1. Love Will Never Do (Without You)-Macy Gray
  2. It WOULD be nice if she secured that record for #1 albums in 5 consecutive decades achievement.....
  3. With the preparation time and money she accumulated with last 2 tours, residency and anniversary concerts, she NEEDS to give us at least 4 singles/videos. 2 dance, 1 mid-tempo and 1 ballad, thank you!!! Yeah, yeah, fat chance!!!
  4. No thank you, I’ve been watering my spiritual garden all year with all this bullsh!t. Also, I have no expectations anymore when it comes to Janet, I just don’t find her teasing exciting anymore given this year as a whole. That’s what I mean. I just don’t care about the album anymore. Whoever wants all that doesn’t exist, are you ok???
  5. Janet needs to pull a Mariah and do her own rarities type of release. I still think What Can I Say, Clap Your Hands, Could This Be Love and Put it On you are some of the best songs she recorded at that time and the fact they didn’t even make the album cut!!! Yeah, Janet was creatively vacant during that time in her career! Wow!
  6. Well then that excludes Damita Jo since it’s never been acclaimed or highly regarded outside the fanbase. In fact, this unnecessary attachment to this album by the fanbase is STILL staggering. I still find it hilarious that Damita Jo, 20 Y.O. and Discipline are practically interchangeable in terms of quality but Damita Jo was terribly underrated and overshadowed because of the Super Bowl fiasco. All a retread about sex, all a retread about her ex’s, all a retread with the generic love songs, wash, rinse, repeat. Even Jimmy has said Janet came into the studio and didn’t even want to write but told Terry to write something for Damita Jo. Jimmy was shocked and said, “Why are we even making an album then???” His words, not mine. But do u boo.
  7. Idk after this year it’s hard to get excited about anything anymore!!!!
  8. It doesn’t matter when the album has some of her best singles/songs!!! TTWLG, If, Throb, This Time, etc. are faaaaarrr more creative and inventive than ANYTHING between All For You and Unbreakable. Let’s not exaggerate those flaws now when they r ONLY flaws. Janet. at least was original for Janet and not a tiresome retread like her 2004-2008 output!
  9. This is making me usually upset instead of excited!!!! Idk if I want this era anymore!!!
  10. Lol I heard about the rescheduled dates but not holding my breath!!! 2020 has sucked all my hope and enthusiasm for her album/tour.
  11. Awwwww nice interview! Great to hear something ANYTHING about the album but I don’t expect anything until early next year.
  12. Yes it is! With both those albums on Rolling Stone’s Greatest Albums of all time. Not to mention numerous other best albums of all time lists! In fact, the biggest highlights have always been showcased by Control, RN and TVR in terms of her timeless impact on pop culture history! Janet. may be her beat selling album but that era is comparable to the inventive reinventions of those eras clearly.
  13. It was definitely her “Thriller” moment that solidified her legacy and cemented her as a pop culture phenomenon so....But I don’t know if it’s the biggest R&B album era for a solo female artist. Whitney’s first 2 albums seemed like much bigger eras but Rhythm Nation is unmatched in concept and quality!
  14. Up until that Janet. Shade.....ur just asking for a 2020 level rude awakening!!!
  15. But the thing is....THIS IS DONALD TRUMP!!!! The dumbest, most disrespectful n unqualified president in our history. He is not only racist, sexiest, xenophobic, homophobic, etc. He’s a liar!!! But then again most if not all politicians are! Donald Trump is a tyrant/cult leader to the mentally insane, diplomatically depraved and inescapably hate filled society continuing to damage this country since its inception. Honestly, Biden/Harris are much MUCH more qualified despite how it won’t be much of a difference given our country before the Obama days. Then again change is this country’s biggest problem. How a man like Donald Trump got into office in the first place and has been there for 4 years is just exposing how incomprehensibly evil this country has always been. So any type of support behind him is not only soul crushing and mind damaging but completely disregards anything of value you have to say. I’m sorry....
  16. Ummmm...I can’t!!!! Unfortunately. My vision ironically had no sound, only visuals.
  17. Well I’ve been known to be more accurate than Ms. Cleo ever was!!!
  18. Last night, I dreamt Janet FINALLY released her first single with Bruno Mars and it was called....”Killing It!” Also the new album was also available on Apple Music for pre-order and it was renamed “Artist” with insane visuals!!! The first video with Bruno was like a complete acid trip with Janet spotting green hair and some amazing fashion!!! ......yeah, I’m going crazy now!!!
  19. I STILL think it’s the best of the trilogy of nothing to say!!!! Damita Jo-Discipline
  20. Slant Magazine just released their official ranking of her discography in anticipation of “Black Diamond” since it’s unfortunately being put on hold for an unknown period of time because of the pandemic. https://www.slantmagazine.com/music/every-janet-jackson-album-ranked/
  21. ......the album that also features “Warmth” and “Moist”...... ”My Baby”=Rainy Afternoon vocals.... And yes, it’s ok to admit Janet was timid because she is a perfectionist and is always hard on herself when it came to her voice. Doesn’t mean she doesn’t make the effort, just not as much as she can.
  22. I said she was timid about it, not that she never did. Didn’t Jimmy say, Janet was often never satisfied by her vocals and would be like, “that was alright...” We know she can sing full on like Rhythm Nation, Together Again and All For You but let’s be real, Damita Jo-Discipline were vocally embarrassing at times. That infamous whisper voice ran rampant because she wasn’t inspired with no passion behind it. Songs like “Unbreakable” and “Broken Hearts Heal” do show her higher range while “After You Fall” and “Gon B Alright” were vocally eclectic! The raw emotion behind those vocals were stunning! So many deep tones and vocal shifting. I know you prefer her singing high but like I said, I prefer her versatility over high notes like Whitney and Mariah all the time. Not many artist can do that at all.
