  2. I know how many gay men can lose all of their critical thinking skills when a good-looking, light-skinned, muscular, masculine black man enters the equation, but: Never trust a big butt and a smile. http://post.aazah.com/articles/gay-craiglist-hookup-ends-carjacking-and-police-chase#.VdDH0JfuIZy Gay Craigslist Hookup Ends With Carjacking and Police Chase Submitted by Dick Kannon on Thu, 08/13/2015 - 07:53When late night creeping goes wrong. A gay Craigslist hookup turned violent after one man pulled a gun on the other, stole his car, and then led police on a 30-minute high-speed chase through Houston. 20-year-old Leroy Jeffery is accused of pulling out a handgun and demanding his 22-year-old victim's phone and the keys to his car and then taking off with the man’s vehicle. The incident happened at around 1:30 a.m. on Sunday morning when the men agreed to meet in a vacant parking lot outside an apartment complex. “The victim indicated that he and the suspect had met through Craigslist so they could get together and have sex,” Houston police spokesperson Kese Smith said. “While they were in the victim’s vehicle, the victim stated that the suspect produced a pistol and demanded his phone and the car. Fearing for his life, the victim got out of the vehicle.” “Nothing had transpired up to that point in terms of the sex act,” Smith added that . The victim managed to flag down a police officer, who chased after Jeffery. The high speed pursuit lasted about half an hour before Jeffery finally surrendered. He told police he had lied to the victim about having a gun and that he never actually meant to hurt him. The Houston Chronicle captured video of Jeffrey being arrested. It shows him being smiling from the back of a police car and again when an officer escorts him out of the cruiser. Jeffery was charged with aggravated robbery with a deadly weapon and evading arrest. He also faces an outstanding warrant for aggravated assault on an officer.
  3. Lord have mercy! Kelly Clarkson, Eddie Murphy!
  4. I hope not. It's bad enough that Janet worked with Chester once. http://www.villagevoice.com/music/read-the-stomach-churning-sexual-assault-accusations-against-r-kelly-in-full-6637412
  5. He BEGRUDGINGLY wrote that. You can tell in the writing that he wanted it to flop so he could say "I told you so." He still tries to belittle the song, though, by saying "Only sold 91K" and "Number one on some chart called Adult R&B." Fuck this dude.
  6. RIGHT? This was very complementary to Janet and her business savvy!
  7. With her Unbreakable tour on a roll and a new album around the corner, it's officially Janet Season. Fans of all ages have welcomed the Janet Jackson back with open arms after her lengthy hiatus, and have even propelled the music icon's new single "No Sleeep" right to the top of the adult R&B charts. Sources tell BET.com, “Janet is so grateful to urban radio because that’s where she began her career and they have welcomed her back.” After Jackson wraps up the North American leg of her tour in Honolulu, she'll take a short break before kicking off the next leg in Japan. European fans, don't fret. Though dates have not yet been released, Jackson will definitely be bringing her magic across the pond. We're told she is even scheduled to perform at the O2 arena in London, where her brother Michael Jackson was supposed to perform before he died. It’s as if she’s fufilling the dream of her brother’s final tour. Watch Ciara, Jason Derulo, and Tinashe pay tribute to this Ultimate Icon at the BET Awards, below: http://www.bet.com/news/music/2015/08/11/the-queen-is-back-janet-jackson-reclaims-top-spot-on-adult-r-b-chart.html #YesQueen

  9. Janet Jackson is one of the world’s most celebrated icons; however, she has yet to recover from the music industry’s most confusing PR debacle. In 2004, there were few artists bigger than Janet Jackson other than her brother Michael, not even her co-conspirator in the 2004 XXXVIII Superbowl “NipSlip” debacle Justin Timberlake. Janet was the headliner for the event with Justin playing a close second, yet, after her nipple was exposed, the dust settled and Right wingers started vying for blood, Timberlake was nowhere to be found. The smear campaign suspiciously excluded the NFL (an organization that is very particular about its performances) and Timberlake. His career remained pristinely unscathed and he went on to become an even bigger triple threat with more movies and music. Janet tried several attempts at reviving her career, including a failed attempt at a world tour, but eventually she gave up and left the business and subsequently the United States. After a seven year hiatus, Janet seems to have returned to a pop world primed to embrace her as if it wished she’d never left. The venues are selling out and her single featuring J. Cole debuted on Billboard’s Hot 100. For her to go from ice cold to scorching hot with little promotion and fanfare is enough to make one wonder if perhaps the seven-year hiatus acted as the best PR strategy to erase the past failures and “nipplegate” scandal. Perhaps the old adage “absence makes the heart grow fonder” applies to public relations practice, as well. Unlike some of her peers who have disappeared from music but are seen out and about with family and friends or even working in other facets of entertainment, Janet disappeared completely. The only information shared from her was that she did indeed marry her longtime boyfriend Wissam Al Mana in an intimate private ceremony in Saudi Arabia. The complete disappearance was baffling and left fans hungry for Janet sightings. Once a formal announcement was made that Janet was returning for a US tour, tickets were immediately hot items and some venues sold out in less than 24 hours. Only time will tell what Janet will be able to do musically once her album drops this fall. With sold-out venues and positive reviews from music critics on her new music, it definitely sets the perfect stage for Janet to have a real shot to return to her rightful place in music royalty. http://rollingout.com/2015/08/09/janet-jacksons-comeback-suggests-absence-prove-pr-best-practice/
  10. Recently, Janet Jackson set the twitterverse ablaze with the announcement of a new album. While her last musical offerings were a bit below fan expectations, there are ample reasons why you should be looking forward to Jackson’s upcoming album: 1. It’s been a long time. Jackson’s last full-length album, Discipline, came out back in 2008 — a gap that feels like forever in today’s era of music — and she has only done a handful of performances since that time, mostly of her hits. Fans salivating for new music can rejoice knowing that the wait is finally over. 2. She’s collaborating with Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis again. Speaking of her last album, one of the things noticeably absent was legendary production duo Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis, who had been Janet’s most frequent and important collaborators up to that point. Reuniting with Jam and Lewis should revitalize her iconic, signature sound for a new generation of listeners, and provide a welcome reminder for longtime fans. 3. Her latest single is really good. Jackson’s latest song, “No Sleeep”, is reminiscent of her hit single, “That’s The Way Love Goes” — and I mean that in the best way possible. The sultry, minimalist production is perfectly suited to Jackson’s soft and sensuous delivery, creating a slow jam destined to make everyone’s quiet storm playlist. Check out the song and the video below: 4. She’s going on tour. A new album means a tour to support it, and no one puts on a better show than Janet Jackson. Her stage shows are the stuff of legend, with kinetic energy, pitch-perfect choreography and magnificent theatrics that ensure no fan can say they didn’t get what they paid for (even at scalper’s prices). The whole world knows it, too: Several of the dates sold out within days of availability, a testament to how good she is in concert. 5. She’s an icon. The word icon seems to be casually bandied about these days, but in this case, it could not be more appropriate. Janet Jackson is one of the most influential performers of the last 30 years, with her performance style and musical DNA found in young alt-R&B neophytes like Tinashe and FKA Twigs and current pop superstars like Beyonce, Britney Spears and Lady Gaga. Throughout her career she has been an outspoken champion for feminism, racial equality and gay rights. She was able to escape the large shadow cast by her late brother Michael, the “King of Pop”, to emerge as royalty in her own right, becoming one of the most successful artists of all time. http://parade.com/414328/thomashamilton/5-reasons-to-be-excited-about-janet-jacksons-new-album/ Artists with Janet Jackson’s influence and impact are increasingly rare these days, and the buzz surrounding her upcoming album and tour is a testament to her staying power and legacy. The fact that she remains relevant, even after an extended hiatus, makes her contribution to today’s musical landscape all the more important — and definitely worth a listen.
  11. Just three weeks remain until Janet Jackson‘s wildly anticipated ‘Unbreakable World Tour’ kicks off. And while details surrounding the global trek have been guarded with potent precision, tea has begun to trickle out. The latest surrounds the ‘No Sleeep’ singer’s new partnership with fashion force Giuseppe Zanotti. Full story below… WWD revealed that 49-year-old Jackson has paired up with shoe designer Giuseppe – who has designed sneakers done in multiple color ways for the diva to don onstage. Speaking on the collaboration, Zanotti, said: “Janet is a close friend of mine — we have been close for a long time and I have always felt the greatest affection for her. She has always been a very loyal supporter of the brand and product. She talked to me about her upcoming Unbreakable World Tour when we were together in Milan earlier this year, [and] she asked me to consider making her a special shoe for the tour. Of course, I was…very flattered and I immediately started to sketch some ideas out for her. Janet will be dancing a lot on stage as well as singing, so I wanted her to be very comfortable and able to move around easily. The shoe has to be light but practical and provide support to her feet.” Per the report, the shoe, a high-top sneaker based on one of the brand’s most popular existing styles, will be customised in two exclusive colour combinations and new detailing. What’s more, Zanotti – who has worked with Beyonce, Rihanna, and Nicki Minaj – will also be dressing the tour’s dancers and backing singers too, a feat that will mark his first time handling an entire tour. He said: “We are frequently asked to provide special shoes for celebrities on tour, [but] this is the first time we are the only luxury shoe company involved”. Janet Jackson’s ‘Unbreakable World Tour’ kicks off August 31st in Vancouver. 12. She made it to #1? Go JANET! Can you link to the chart?
  13. This is a blatant bite of "Rhythm Nation" and I, too, am surprised that Madonna did this given how she never misses an opportunity to say something shady or disrespectful about Janet.
  14. Xena is based on Wonder Woman, not the other way around. But I see your point.
  15. Janet Jackson is prepared for a full-force comeback with a world tour starting at the end of the month and a new album set for release this fall, but are we ready to embrace her again seven years after her last record? HuffPost Live's Caroline Modarressy-Tehrani posed that question during a panel discussion on Monday about Ms. Jackson's place in the pop culture landscape. In the clip above, the group chats about whether Jackson's infamous wardrobe malfunction at Super Bowl XXXVIII -- which has haunted her for more than a decade -- will continue to cast a shadow over her career amid her latest projects. Now local news outlets from the region are claiming Joe did himself in after gobbling a dangerous cocktail of liquor and viagra… Brazilian tabloid O Dia reports Joe and his entourage were in a part of town known for low rent prostitution when the he went into distress. While Diario claims it was three Viagra pills washed down with liquor that caused Joe to be hospitalized.
