I liked this as a opening more than Come On Get Up honestly

I wish she or Jam&Lewis would do a new remix of Skin Game, her vocals are everything if you heard the acapella version (I have it but cant find it and its not on youtube anymore) , but the only problem I have ever had with the song is its production is WAY too heavy & too much period, its obvious Jam & Lewis were deep in their zone, but they drown out some really great vocals & lyrics Janet gives with having SUCH a loud, heavy & busy beat. I think it would actually make a amazing breakdown in like one of the socially conscious songs

Eh, wasnt triggered or uneasy about it (If Whitney replaced Paula's name wit Janet I'd feel a ways), but with what I know bein a fan both Janet & Whitney for more than half my life, they both felt insecure about what they felt they lacked that the other thrived in. Whitney felt insecure about choreography & artistry in production compared to Janet. And Janet felt insecure about her voice compared to Whitney (as we heard her say in that audio documentary). They are both QUEEENS of different styles & flavors. What Cissy said wasn't even that disrespectful, I read it as "don't worry about her strengths, you got your own". The tone & wording was disrespectful.....but the point wasn't to me. What Whitney said about Paula was as disrespectful as it was 100% true tho

.......I think we got the answer to "whats taking things so long" yesterday...her dad died & has been dying. We'll get the song when we get it, thats her dad, and what we know is at this time the family is going through it all & they're pulling through together, the song can wait. Summers just begun, and she has events & dates lined up, but lets give her her time.

All that xenophobia over Randy tho LaToya, Randy & Jermaine...... Anything coming from those 3 I cant take completely serious. Granted of the 3 Randy's not as bad, but what these 3 have in common is history exaggeration & extremeism. Im a Jackson-ologist & got a love/appreciation for all 9 (even Joh Vonnie) but those 3 are the ones who's words carry the least weight.

I love the moments before the 1st release where its like "......whats this even gonna sound like?" A whole new album, new chapters to her bible, new insights, new questions, new answers, new lessons, new slayage.

I LEGIT love that you waited for this song to fall out of the itunes top 20 (which it stayed in until this weekend) to troll. That needs the explaining, your word on flopping hard isnt credible, if it didnt make itunes top 20 (or #1 on there period) and with it being the 1st single youd have a point, but since it did you having to wait weeks to say anything about its positions is all too telling

I watched and was disappointed, the last 30mins of it is what I wanted the whole thing to be about mostly, and they just spent sooooo much time talking about what we allllll already know & theres dozens of documentaries about.

1 of her best songs, doesnt fit AFY (which it was recorded for) but I think its really a great track

WOWWWW just the other day I was wondering what Janelle thought of Janet, cause I see & hear the influence in the work, but I see she credits Prince & MJ most. So this confirms what i had hoped, that she loves the queen.

Yea I really have since 1st listen in that "its so bad its funny" way, I love the beat and I cringe/smile EVERY time I hear "SHES SO COOL IN HER TIGHT BLUE JEANS, GONNA BE IN TROUBLE WHEN OUR DADDY FINDS OUT" thats FIELDS of the corniest corn This one hasnt ever been confirmed but I 80% believe that Janet & LaToya sing this chorus & its Janets voice turned up higher than Toys. Its too in key to be just Toy, and it, you know.... doesnt sound bad lol. And compare the chorus voice to those verse vocals lol for YEARS Ive tried to appreciate that song cause Janet co-wrote it & sang background.....but Toys voice keeps getting in the way of my appreciation.

Janet wrote this song with/for LaToya, did the demo & backgrounds. Its told that Janet teaching Toy how to sing a song is what got her noticed by her father to be a singer, I suspect this is the song. The timing matches up (released in 81, same year Janet got signed) And Janet did background vocals for this hot mess of a song I love and is 1 of Toya's best. Note about this performance, Janets singing background, Rene is dancing background & they met on this trip... (Janet is shown in the clip briefly). Its always funny that Janet can mimic Toy perfectly (talking and singing) like I can only tell which is Janet cause shes the 1 in key but all 3 of the sisters have a very similar tone in their highest register.

That fan footage just made my heart explode....seeing the arm movements in their full majesty....10yrs after retirement..... (remember it was the AMA's where she VERY 1st retired them) It makes perfect sense that MJ would ONLY perform at award shows if he got to direct how his performance was shot, this shows why that's needed so badly, like WOW, that's the thing, it's not the camera men's fault it's whoever was directing in that control booth, cause not only for this performance but for all, it was so knee-jerk and clearly last min when they'd cut to audience.
