  1. "Well Traveled" has a more grand and anthem-like quality to me.
  2. I firmly stand by rating. I simply find nothing special about this particular song.
  3. Where The Party At is the jam. Appeals to my ghetto suburban side lol
  4. My favorite P!nk song, along with "Catch Me While I'm Sleeping" from Try This.
  5. I was hoping "Drops of Jupiter" would've gone further. I knew Lovergod would get cast off tho lol
  6. Hace muchos años desde hablé español. Estoy muy ... rusty (I'm sure "oxidado" isn't the right word choice lol)
  7. The 4-way tie is what shocks me the most. I thought "wait a minute, he skipped 28," I scrolled down, then went ... "oh." lol
  8. Looks like I gave Romeo the highest rating. I gave it extra points for the sample lol. Not disappointed to see any of these go though.
  9. Yeah it was painful for me having to omit CBTM, Scream, and GTIG. That's why Number Ones is so great -- it's a solid overview of her catalog up to that point. I kinda wish Whitney's Greatest Hits used the original versions instead of dance remixes (at least aside from "Its Not Right..." as its remix was more popular) At least I got the original albums though.
  10. A highlight for sure! It's crazy that it's almost a decade old now. I just thought you were testing us to see if we knew.
  11. It was on the ride to pre-school (lol) and "That's The Way Love Goes" came on the radio. It's one of the few radio songs that I remember the specific location where I first heard it. That's where it all started. Then I discovered the music videos (while also being fascinated by the fact that the music was on TV too lol) and saw what she looked like. Mesmerizing beauty, amazing music, unforgettable videos, then when I eventually heard the full CD, forgetaboutit ~ I was completely blown away.

She'd fire me because I at least need an exclusive Target deluxe edition with a special bonus disc.
  13. I'll come back to this thread later, crop some pics and make covers with text included. I wanna go all the way with this lol
  14. Last time, I baked a vanilla-frosted chocolate cake then cut myself a slice.
  15. Awesome write up, Matt! Crazy enough, I seem to remember every song on the list - but I'll have to preview a few of them before I hit submit. *edit* Just submitted my ratings after some careful deliberation with the voices in my head.
  16. Of course, she already did. I mean, her biggest album is just her first name.
  17. I love these types of questions. Even narrowing it down to 3 is tough, but I'll go with: "Buffalo Stance" ~ Neneh Cherry"Can You Stand The Rain" ~ New Edition"Alphabet St." ~ Prince(Honorable mentions: "Nite and Day" ~ Al B. Sure!, "Groove Me" ~ Guy)
  18. Dang I look like a hater rating DRM an 8 lol. Good song, just not my favorite She didn't win 1995 but she won the majority. I'd be down for that. Each song gets a fair chance, and I think it'd be more efficient.
  19. Absolutely!!!!!!!!! It's my favorite and most-listened-to album from anyone, as well as the very reason I became a fan. I never tire of playing it no matter how much I listen, I love the diversity - not one song sounds like another yet I'd say it holds together, and the songs are among the best she's ever made. Even my least favorite song, I still enjoy more than least favorites on other albums. RN1814 and TVR are still classics, but I really go hard for the janet. album. Cool, one thing I really love about her albums is that they're more than just a collection of good songs, they're an experience - like a journey with her, and this definitely includes UB. janet./RN1814/TVR remained my ultimate trinity for +15 years and to me they're just perfection and impossible for any album to outdo, so I think UB rising to become my 4th favorite is an excellent outcome to me.
