  4. Prince was not impressed Representatives for Prince have demanded record label bosses remove the superstar's famous symbol from the cover of an upcoming Michael Jackson album. The symbol, which the Purple Rain hitmaker once used as his stage name, mysteriously featured in the original artwork for Michael, which features a painted collage of pictures and icons. Artist Kadir Nelson claims he based the design on "key moments and important people in Michael Jackson's life". But the glyph has now been removed after a request from Prince's camp. A statement from Prince's rep on Drfunkenberry.com reads: "No permission was granted. Sony Entertainment has removed the symbol." http://uk.news.launch.yahoo.com/dyna/article.html?a=/08112010/364/prince-symbol-removed-jackson-album.html&e=l_news_dm

  7. AS POP'S ultimate bad girl, Pink's sleepless nights are usually down to wild parties and crazy on-the-road antics. But all that could be set to change soon, because the 31-year-old admits she has started to think about starting a family with husband Carey Hart. The pair famously split in 2008 before reuniting later the same year. And since their reconciliation, their marriage has seemed stronger than ever. So it's little wonder that Pink - real name Alecia Moore - now seems well and truly tamed. Where once she curled her lip and snarled defiance at just about everything, her face now lights up when she talks about cosy nights in with motocross rider Carey and her desire to become a mother. She admitted: "I feel so old. I'm not 17 any more. I would love to corrupt babies some day. "Carey is good around the house. If I cook, he cleans. He's such a good boy. He loves my turkey meatloaf." While her home life is settled, Pink is at least still singing about her partying days, not least on new single Raise Your Glass. And she deserves a little celebration, because she has reached a huge landmark for any performer - especially in these uncertain times. Pink is celebrating an impressive 10 years at the pinnacle of the music industry and is reverting to her party girl role to mark the occasion. She's also releasing an album, Greatest Hits ... So Far, rounding up the highlights of a career that has already spawned numerous impressive pop hits, such as Get e Party Started and Just Like A Pill. Pink said: "Ten years. It doesn't feel like that long. I was 16 when I started but I still feel the same as I did then." Incredibly, despite the smash hit records she has released all over the world, Pink has only had one No.1. And she feels that sums her up perfectly - she's never fully been accepted. That's no bad thing in her eyes, because she is happy to be the underdog. She explained: "The album is really just a celebration of being an underdog. "Instead of becoming a cover girl and endorsement girl and a popular girl and having No.1s, I just hit the road and pounded the pavement and became a touring artist. "That has been a huge accomplishment for me. You don't have to be popular when you're a touring artist. You just have to be good. "Ths album is a celebration and a thank-you to everybody for hanging out with me for so long. But it's called Greatest Hits ... So Far because I still feel I haven't even hit my halfway mark yet. "I don't know if the single is going to be huge. It was really all about timing because I had been on the road for two years and I hadn't written anything. I just wanted to raise my glass to the underdog." Pink fans are desperately hoping an announcement of a tour to accompany the album is imminent. But she insists nothing has been decided yet, other than a few standalone shows. That's hardly surprising given her infamous mishap on her tour this summer. While performing in Nuremberg, Germany, she fell out of a harness which was supposed to carry her 30ft above the stage. She wasn't seriously injured but fan video footage made the incident worldwide news and a massive YouTube hit. Pink claims the accident has not a ected her attitude to performing but admits that her husband's concern for her at the time made her tough-girl act melt away. She said: "I stood up and was trying to make jokes. en Carey ran up and was like, 'Are you all right?' And that was when my bottom lip started quivering. "But I'm good. I'm going to do a couple of things but I'm not going on tour yet because I just got o the road - and I'm busy cooking." She's also pretty busy on the Twitter front. Pink is one of the most prolific celebrities on the social networking site, posting little updates to fans on every detail of her life. She said: "Yeah, Twitter has lured me in completely and I'm totally addicted. It's fun. "I like to be able to communicate with the fans. I owe them so much." Some of those communications have been slightly controversial - such as when her birthday party got her in trouble with the authorities. She explained: "We went to this beautiful campground for my birthday. "We were camping out, we had bon res going and we brought along these stand-up paddle boards. "We paddled out on the lake and the water patrol people kicked us out of the lake and tried to kick us out of the campground because it turned out it was drinking water." When she's not getting thrown out of campsites, Pink loves to curl up in front of the TV with her husband. But rumours she's set to become America's Cheryl Cole by signing on as a judge on American Idol are well wide of the mark. She is adamant she would never do it and doesn't even watch the programme. However, she does admit to a soft spot for a certain fiery Scot. She said: "I've never watched American Idol. I'm not into much reality stuff. But my guilty pleasure is Gordon Ramsay's Kitchen Nightmares. I love that. "I love it when he yells and calls people cows. I don't have a crush on him, I just love it when he yells. He gets so upset." Not that she has too much time for watching telly, because she loves to lead a hectic lifestyle. She says her trim shape is down to that rather than any sort of exercise regime and claims she will never diet, because she doesn't want to be just another skinny pop star. Pink said: "Are you kidding? No way. I am as I am." She does love to play around with her look, though. Although the pink hair which gave her her nickname haven't been seen for some time. But she loves to change her hair colour as the mood takes her - so much so that she has no idea what shade it would be without the help of the hairdresser. She said: "I was born with white-blonde hair but I don't think it's that blonde under there any more. "I'm not sure what colour I am or what I will be next." Musically, she will also continue to experiment. And her next innovation is an acoustic album. However, don't be surprised if we never get to hear it, because she will only release it if it lives up to her high standards. She said: "It will only be released if it's amazing."
  8. I thought dude had a better body. When he took his clothes off to rape that dream girl he had saggy butt cheeks and tiddays.
  9. http://www.slantmagazine.com/film/review/why-did-i-get-married-too/4752 For the prolific Tyler Perry, Why Did I Get Married Too? is nothing if not more of the same. Continuing the couples therapy session of the preceding Why Did I Get Married? (a film adapted from the successful stage play of the same name), this dramatically heavy sequel stands as perhaps the most encompassing example to date of the writer-director's strengths and weaknesses, which together represent less in the way of outright mediocrity than a deliberately unchallenging, mass-appeal oriented style. Even when the iconic Madea is absent (as she is here), Perry's films can be likened to feature-length sitcoms free of a distinctive aesthetic, narratively predictable and fated to easy resolutions. Which is not to say that his storytelling skills aren't expert in their execution, if occasionally irresponsible in their creative choices. Nevertheless, and with rare exceptions, Why Did I Get Married Too? suggests a creator overly comfortable with his craft and willing to coast by on his former successes. That Perry retains his knack for the occasionally beauteous, quotidian image (an elderly couple framed against the night sky, their being ever so slightly out of focus suggesting an angelic presence) suggests less in the way of creative choices than mere happy accidents. Perry's wide-appeal aim is most apparent in the archetypal characters and their respectively familiar relationships, here a group designed to go off at intervals like a ticking bomb: the super-controlling Angela (Tasha Smith) and her hotshot husband Marcus (Michael Jai White); the career-woman, Patricia (Janet Jackson), whose professional exterior masks a widening schism in her marriage with the introverted Gavin (Malik Yoba); the apparently peachy Dianne (Sharon Leal) and Terry (Perry), whose mutually comfortable resolve hides growing strains; the recently married Sheila (Jill Scott) and Troy (Lamman Rucker), whose recent familial relocation finds the couple in dire financial straights. Enter Sheila's abusive former spouse, Mike (Richard T. Jones), to jumpstart the drama and whose intentions are more than meets the eye. Like the women of Sex and the City, these characters serve as surrogate identifiers for the audience, ensuring that all bases are covered and no personality type goes unsatisfied—at least, in theory. As tensions flair between husbands, wives, and exes during the gang's annual getaway vacation, Perry remains intent on ferreting out the good among the bad, and it is in these moments of light comedic rapport, particularly during a male bonding session on the beach, that Why Did I Get Married Too? most substantially explores the give and take nature of modern marital demands. Alas, the script is inconsistent at best, the developing plot threads ultimately giving way to contrivance, while the running gag that is the loudmouthed, jealousy-prone Angela is one that is at best misguided, at worst offensive: Read her as a caricature and her story of relationship strife becomes a callous punchline to real-world strains; read her as flesh-and-blood and her domineering, pistol-waving antics become reductive and clichéd. This stands in stark contrast to the tangible hurt experienced by Jackson's Patricia, whose tightly framed confrontation with her drunk husband might be the best-acted scene in Perry's catalogue. All in all, a strangely mixed bag even by Perry's often uneven comedy/drama standards, which is to say nothing of a literally last-minute cameo that stands a chance at maintaining status as the WTF moment of the year. Only time—and, purportedly, a third film—will tell if this move is one of audacity or outright stupidity. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  10. wow That is MJ in some parts but then not him in others. MESSY. They shouldn't release this new album. Its garbage.
  11. This is gonna be an eminem sweep. That hook is crazy on "LTWYL"
  12. "LOve the Way You Lie" will win record of the year.
  13. I love him. I am going to beat somebody ass in protest MSNBC suspended "Countdown" host Keith Olbermann Friday after the news that he donated to three Democratic candidates. "I became aware of Keith's political contributions late last night," MSNBC President Phil Griffin said in a statement. "Mindful of NBC News policy and standards, I have suspended him indefinitely without pay." [Related: MSNBC's election night lineup criticized] Olbermann gave the maximum individual donation of $2,400 to three candidates in Tuesday's election: Arizona Reps. Gabrielle Giffords and Raul Grijalva and Senate hopeful Jack Conway, who lost in Kentucky to Republican Rand Paul. (Grijalva appeared on Olbermann's "Countdown" on Oct. 28, the same day the host donated to his campaign; Conway was last a guest in May). Olbermann, in a statement to Politico, said that he "did not privately or publicly encourage anyone else to donate to these campaigns nor to any others in this election or any previous ones." Also, Olbermann said he had not "previously donated to any political campaign at any level." But the revelation raised clear ethical issues. Olbermann, a liberal commentator, gives his opinions each night on the air. But NBC News editorial staffers -- like journalists at most news organizations -- are forbidden from giving to political candidates. Also, Olbermann anchored election coverage Tuesday night without disclosing that he'd given to candidates who were running for office. By punishing the network's biggest star, Griffin showed how little tolerance there is for hosts to make undisclosed political contributions while covering those political races. An MSNBC spokesman told The Upshot that The Nation's Chris Hayes, an MSNBC contributor who has filled in before for Olbermann and Rachel Maddow, will host Friday night's show. Hayes has spoken publicly before about donating $250 to a friend's Congressional campaign in Alabama. MSNBC already attracted criticism this week for having its liberal hosts and commentators anchor election night coverage. Typically, nonpartisan journalists anchor major news events—such as election results—while commentators like Bill O'Reilly (Fox News) or James Carville (CNN) offer analysis. It's ironic that Olbermann gave to political candidates after criticizing Fox News because its owner, Rupert Murdoch, gave $1 million donation to the Republican Governors Association. "Fox News has put its money where its mouth is," Olbermann said in an August segment that questioned the network's impartiality. In October, Olbermann again raised the issue of Murdoch's donations, during an interview with Democratic Rep. James Clyburn. Olbermann asked whether there was "a legislative response to the idea that there is a national cable news outlet that goes beyond having a point of view and actually starts to shill for partisan causes and actually starts to donate to partisan groups of one party."
  14. You MJ fans can try to censor my ambitions if you want but I know of my right to free speech and such and I am not afraid you act on it.
  15. At some point Michael just started to sound like he was re doing the same song over again with his dance music. He never progressed after "Dangerous" with his dance music. His ballads were still lovely as ever though "Butterflies" was genius.
  16. I think Janet needs to do a few comedies and action films. All these dramas are not allowing her to grow. She's good but sometimes not natural, and that naturalness comes with doing a bunch of different types of roles.
  17. Me too. I have heard Kimberly Elise and Loretta Divine as well are the show stealers, but sdome reviews also mention janet in high regard.
  18. You've just been allowed to join our sexy sassy sorority so you don't have the authority to be calling that whore a whore.
