Escapade
Ehhh she's overrated. I like that Problem song but then I got over it.. Fast. Vocally I can't stand her Yeah it's something about her vocally that I can't stand. It always sounds like she has a cold or something. bu.
She mumbelts too much - which is funny considering I love Mariah...but at least you can tell what Mariah is singing.  I love Problem though! Summer bop
Illi
I like Problem too but thing with Arianna is theat though she might have Mariah's range, the power I'm her voice is lacking.
downeaznboi
her delivery doesn't change much, i think thats why she sounds kinda same-sies in her songs.

JoeJoe
She's just boring period. There's nothing to her. Not personality wise or artistically. Here's how to look at it. There's millions of people who can sing but there's gotta be something about them that makes the world interested.  Whitney: Flawless and never went out of key on any song or performance that I know of. Beautiful voice and she was pretty and had personality.  Mariah: Came onto the scene and also slayed vocally just like Whitney, There was controversy around her when she first started cause many labeled her as "White girl trying to sing black" although she was biracial. Also her whistle notes was and still is her key signature although she can't go there anymore.  Celine Dion: Her man face, sharp chin, along with her unique flawless vocals made her a hit internationally.  Christina: Came out as a young teen vocal powerhouse and later deemed voice of our generation. White naturally blonde blue-eyed girl with soul although she's white/latina. Her vocals were unmatched and she was the only one who could actually dance along with being a vocal powerhouse. She had attitude and personality.  Ariana has none of the above.
jarrylf
That's your opinion, but in looking into her I see that she had it set as a Nickelodeon actress 1st, she had to prove that she wouldn't end up musically like Raven, Hillary Duff, & Lindsay. She surpassed that she's the only vocalist this generation and in mainstream REALLY getting it, and crossing genres and styles. WHILE also still doing a show, none of the above was working both the music and the TV at the same time. She's got her own thing going for her that distinguishes her as a vocalist to be reckoned with now & possibly the future (if she keeps releasing the singles and albums like she should). But Hilary Duff had a pretty ok career. Thing is the she only sold on her popularity on tv. Once the hype for Lizzie Mcguire died, so did her popularity.  But I see what you are saying about her being the first Nickelodeon star to at least somewhat sustain a music career.

Ariana is that stand in front of a mic and BLOW singer, and we havent really had that with any of the above named, like if Raven wanted to she probably could be that singer, but she's always done that kiddy dance pop dance crap. So that's specifically what I mean  Yea that Icarly girl was trying it but she was more like poppy kid too. Oh and Keke could probably blow like that too if she goes for it right.  Lindsay slays all of them with songwritting tho Confessions of a broken fuckin heart....GOD

Her album is almost a year old and still not gold. Also i'm talking about her personality. She had none and she needs to get one. Nobody's worried about her acting. We're talking about music. I compared her to artists who can sing and what made them stick out and made them Legendary in the process. You're comparing her to Nickelodeon and Disney bitches who were hot at the time they came out because they had hit tv shows on those channels. I'm talking about SINGERS like the ones I mentioned

I'm talking about SINGERS like the ones I mentioned But it's your opinion she has none is what I'm saying in the end and you say it has to be something to get the world interested, her singles are saying the world is. My point is about comparing her to the other Nickelodeon & Disney girls is she's the only  big voice vocalist who's translating as much in the music world as she is in the TV world. That's her niche, that's what she has that none of the others did, she's the Sanger who's balancing a successful singing and acting career). What you said about those artists didn't have a bigger deal in making them legendary or iconic as much as their catalog & record breaking did, like what she's building right now. Like how Problem makes her the youngest artist to debut a single with more than 400,000 downloads,  She's on her way. More & more people are paying attention to her thanks to her award show performances.

I want to know what's so special about her? I haven't come across anyone who can do it like Ariana did it. Please post examples of these 3000 others. She's like a Mariah lite. She's cute and she's starting to make catchy music. What else is there to say? You gays always having some new girl coming for someone else's position. Who gives a shit about Whitney, Celine or any others? Why does Ariana have to even be mentioned alongside them? You are putting that on her. No one ever said she was going to be the next great diva. So if you find her boring or whatever, don't listen to her. I know... Right. Unthinkable.
