DJ Y2K Malone™
Dior has expanded its collection of high-profile muses and ambassadors with Rihanna as the latest power beauty to become the face of the brand. Steven Klein photographed Rihanna in “Secret Garden IV,” a campaign and short film shot inside Versailles, that will drop May 18. She joins the elite ranks of Charlize Theron, Natalie Portman, Marion Cotillard and Jennifer Lawrence on Dior’s image quest. Asked what drew Dior to Rihanna and how the edgy pop star fits in with its current roster of faces, Dior chief executive officer Sidney Toledano said, “Jennifer is also edgy, I think. They understand. They’re smart. In this short movie, [Rihanna] knew how to work with Versailles. She has this kind of elegance — we saw it from the very first moment — and then she can surprise. She can be unexpected and we like it. It’s part of this personality.” Rihanna has made multiple appearances at Raf Simons’ Dior runway shows and is also a fan of his own collection. Whether the Dior/Rihanna relationship will be ongoing has yet to be determined.

Laveaux
its cute but I like my Rihanna primitive, wild and unrefined.
bu.
So is this modeling stuff the reason R8 has taken a backseat ? Nah I think the singles not taking off is tbh. BBHMM didn't take off and (according to ATRL Navy members) Tidal screwed over American Oxygen. But I love that so far she hasn't released a generic safe song. I love when artists take risks like that. In the UK, weirdly enough Four Five Seconds still gets a lot of plays on radio here. The other two weren't properly released outside the states. There hasn't been a single focus on any of the singles..she juss throwin em out there. Hell, we still ain't got no video for BBHMM. I never thought I would see the day where Rihanna has a messy era w/ no clear direction like a lot of those flop artists who fear the release date
Bailey
Im all for a pushback if she gets it right....and it didn't sound like the direction was really solid and decided

Obviously not enough. AO didn't get promoted at all though. I thought the patriotism angle would sell it but I guess not. I kind of think they thought she's reached a stage where she can get away with minimal promo and it backfired. It's been a huge mess.
