#5. Ciara

The R&B star maximized her krumping skills as the genre swept American in the early 00's -- but while subsequent styles have bumped the frenetic full body spasm out of popular favor, her "music" has similarly suffered. Bottom line: she's one fresh face away from being permanently cut from this list

#4. Lady GaGa

Forging an early bond with choreographer du jour Laurieann Gibson has served GaGa well over the last three years as she's eschewed standard moves for more atypical, yet no less popular, creations.

#3. Rihanna

Although she's been making club-banging dance music since the jump, Rihanna's career wasn't predicated on being able to shake that ass like her fans do. This all changed with the release of her latest CD, "Loud" and the gyration-heavy performances she's been serving up with "What's My Name."

#2. Nicole Sherzinger

When you front a group born out of a burlesque dance club, odds are you can slam it to the ground and shake it all around with the best of them. But the biggest surprise about the Pussycat Dolls' queen bee has been her consistent ability to serve up hard-hitting routines while singing live.

#1. Beyoncé

Was there any doubt B would snag the top slot? If you thought otherwise, I don't know what you've been doing for the last 15 years, but it certainly wasn't watching a single live performance -- be it in concert or on television -- as the megastar consistently devoted every ounce of her to the routine. And the fact she was able to do it night after night on her seemingly endless I Am Sasha Fierce Tour makes Beyonce's professionalism and skill all the more impressive,

Beyonce hasn't hit 10 years as a solo yet...and Ciara MOST certainly hasn't..Ciara came out the very end of 04'. I wouldn't consider Xtina or Brit to be "new girls"...yall would?

It depends how you're considering "new" and whether or not you're just counting solo careers ('cause the Beyonce snippet mentions "for the past 15 years"). It seems to me they're looking at current (although I'm not sure why they'd have Ciara on the list then  Guess it's 'cause she's one of the few who can actually dance ). Like I said, the list is a mess.

They were clearly adding DC when they said 15 years.

Neither is Beyonce. Or Ciara, for that matter.

Ciara's newer than Bey.

Ciara should be 1.

I think she's fine at #5, but either "Get Up" or "Gimmie Dat" should have been the video they went with instead of "1,2 Step".
