GHMP and Blackout got NOTHING while Circus got like 3 performances. Why can Bey only get 2x platinum from 500 awards show performances? Why is it that GaGa's lowest-selling single from The Fame Monster was featuring Bey? Why is it that Bey doesn't appear on the top 100 biggest singles of all time except for GaGa's song which wasn't even a huge hit by GaGa's standards? If Ashanti had a leveled playing field who knows what could've happened. Ashanti's label issues prevented that leveled playing field.... because of this Beyonce (who already had a built in audience thanks to DC) was able to take advantage of that. The recording of an album is done BEFORE the album is recorded. Ever heard of an "ADVANCE"????? That ADVANCE is money artists get to use for studio time, producer fees, songwriter fees, etc. In Beyonce's case, it's not like she didn't already have money. Plus, Beyonce funds her own projects so she has a higher royalty rate and makes more from album sales. Like with B'day, Beyonce spent her own money on everything associated with the project.
