Marlon Wayans was recently on a morning radio talk show discussing his new Haunted House movie. He likened his new film to Janet Jackson's "Control" album because it was the first time he ventured out from his brothers success and did something on his own. That's the power of Janhova..she is moving younger siblings to overcome the shadows/obstacles set by an older siblings success. *looks at Solange" :coffee:

This was part of a scene from 30 Rock (Season 7, Episode 10, air date: January 17, 2013):

Liz was snooping around Jack's mother's house. At the end of this scene, Liz said, "Shmesbians!" :asham:

Apparently, Colleen was a lesbian, and the above painting is of her girlfriend.

This probably belongs in 'Other News' - I'm not sure.

"Another string to her bow: Vanessa-Mae puts down the violin for a new career – as an Olympic skier!"

She has collaborated with pop legends including Janet Jackson and Prince, performed on the soundtrack of the Disney animated feature Mulan, played Bach for the British Royal Family on the 250th anniversary of the composer's death and performed as she modelled a wedding dress on the runway of a Jean-Paul Gualtier fashion show in Paris.

For Vanessa-Mae, It’s All Downhill From Here

Remember Vanessa-Mae? Oh you do! The British/Thai violinist that appeared on the Janet Jackson album “The Velvet Rope” and then toured around the world fusing classical chops with techno and generally attempting a form of musical fusion that was guaranteed to get up the noses of purists from here to way over there. No, not there, further…

Mae rose to prominence with her album The Violin Player in 1995 but has often crossed over into pop music. In 1997 she appeared on the song "Velvet Rope" from Janet Jackson's album The Velvet Rope. She released her last album Choreographyin 2004.

Jenni Rivera quotes Janet:

Video Pt. 4 - Rivera discusses: • How she always has the final say on all the work she does: "It's the manner to take care of what's mine. I'm in control, like Janet Jackson". • "I'm happy what I've accomplished, but it's my job to inspire more."

Butch Cordora is a Philadelphia-based TV personality who famously did a calendar called Straight & Butch, in which he lay naked with 12 hetero guys (but not all at once), often simulating famous images from pop culture.

Well, here's a famous Janet Jackson photo you'll recognize, adjacent to Butch's uncanny simulation of it. (Butch is the unseen one behind Angelo's behind.)
