For the 23-year-old’s latest album ’21′ has now become one of the highest selling albums of the decade after it was officially certified triple platinum in the States this week. The LP, which shipped over 3 million copies, has now sold over 2.83 million copies in the US and over 8 million copies worldwide since its release on Feb 22nd. On top of the album’s success, her single ‘Rolling In The Deep’ has been downloaded a staggering 4.69 million times. Such feat means the record has now become the highest selling digital single to be released by a female singer in the US. Not that’s what I call real selling power. The reason why Mariah is usually referred to as the best-selling female artist is because she sold the most albums in such a short period of time.
