cheaps Posted August 10, 2011 Share Posted August 10, 2011 BY MIAMI HERALD STAFF OutKast member and hip-hop artist Big Boi was arrested in Miami on Sunday for possession of drugs, according to the Miami-Dade Corrections website. The rapper, whose real name is Antwan Andre Patton, 36, but performs under the name Big Boi, was charged with three counts of possession of Ecstasy, Viagra and MDMA, an ingredient in Ecstasy. Patton did not have a prescription for the Viagra he carried. He faces a fourt count of possession of drug paraphernalia. The website says Big Boi was booked into the Miami-Dade County Jail at around 1:30 p.m. He was released on a $16,000 bond. Patton was apparently arrested as he disembarked from a cruise ship at the Port Miami, TMZ is reporting. A Customs drug sniffing dog alerted an officer to Patton. Patton is best known as one-half of the hip-hop duo OutKast, which includes Andre 3000. The group won six Grammys and has released six albums. Patton made his solo debut last year.
