hotboy06
Same . I'm rooting for Michelle Williams! Really? She's getting good reviews..It's very tough this year..
hotboy06
Last year, the Best Actress category was the toughest year in a long time..It was a matter of who was going to get in as opposed to who was out. It didn't matter since Natalie Portman snatched everyone's wig with her fantastic performance in "Black Swan"..but it's still to early to see who is favorited to take home awards. Seems like Kirsten Dunst has been shut out after having buzz for her performance in "Melancholia"..things can change, but it doesn't look good that she isn't nominated for these two awards.. I'm glad that Viola Davis has been put in the lead category..she has a good chance of winning since "The Help" has had commercial success at the box office. Also, Octavia Spencer and Jessica Chastain has both been nominated in the supporting categories..I fear that they are gonna split the vote and that actress for "The Artist" is gonna snatch it. The Best Actor category is competitive too..George Clooney could win here, but since the Artist is getting huge buzz, he may not win. Kim
I would have loved for Emily to be nominated..it seems like Victoria's role is a supporting role, not a lead. But I'm happy that she got nominated. If they pushed her to be nominated as a Best Actress, the producers or whoever probably felt like she had a better shot of winning than Emily. Or the votes were probably split between Emily and Victoria.

I wonder if they even pushed for Emily's character to be nominated.. She should have gotten a nomination as well.
