Kim
they gave away the minority award I'm glad she won. I liked the girl who played Celia Foote too. I meant Madonna is now widely referred to as the Queen of Pop not Janet

bu.
Janet was nominated once Janet has only ever done the whole prestigious GG/Oscar worthy movie/music thing once for which she got nominated for. Had she gone down that route more then she'd be nominated more.
bu.
:excited: !! I really want Meryl to win this year so they can go another 29 years without giving her one

hotboy06
My Predictions: Best Picture The Artist--This is pure Oscar bait. A silent film in this day and age. No brainer. The Descendants Extremely Loud & Incredibly Close The Help Hugo Midnight in Paris Moneyball The Tree of Life War Horse Best Director Michel Hazanavicius, The Artist Alexander Payne, The Descendants Martin Scorsese, Hugo Woody Allen, Midnight in Paris Terrence Malick, The Tree of Life Best Actor Demián Bichir, A Better Life George Clooney, The Descendants Jean Dujardin, The Artist Gary Oldman, Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy Brad Pitt, Moneyball Best Actress Glenn Close, Albert Nobbs Viola Davis, The Help Rooney Mara, The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo Meryl Streep, The Iron Lady Michelle Williams, My Week With Marilyn Best Supporting Actor Kenneth Branagh, My Week With Marilyn Jonah Hill, Moneyball Nick Nolte, Warrior Christopher Plummer, Beginners Max Von Sydow, Extremely Loud & Incredibly Close Best Supporting Actress Bérénice Bejo, The Artist Jessica Chastain, The Help Melissa McCarthy, Bridesmaids Janet McTeer, Albert Nobbs Octavia Spencer, The Help Best Original Screenplay Michel Hazanavicius, The Artist Annie Mumolo & Kristen Wiig, Bridesmaids J.C. Chandor, Margin Call Woody Allen, Midnight in Paris Asghar Farhadi, A Separation Best Adapted Screenplay Alexander Payne, Jim Rash & Nat Faxon, The Descendants John Logan, Hugo George Clooney, Grant Heslov & Beau Willimon, The Ides of March Aaron Sorkin & Steven Zaillian, Moneyball Peter Straughan & Bridget O’Connor, Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy Best Animated Film The Adventures of Tintin A Cat in Paris Chico & Rita Kung Fu Panda 2 Puss in Boots Rango Best Foreign Language Film Bullhead (Belgium) Monsieur Lazhar (Canada) A Separation (Iran) Footnote (Israel) In Darkness (Poland) Alot of suprises and snubs in certain categories. No Leo or Armie Hammer nominations for "J. Edgar". Gary Oldman getting a Best Actor nomination for TTSS. Could be the darkhorse in that category. No Michael Fassbender for "Shame". Tilda Swinton was shut out of the Best Actress Category for Mara. Melissa McCarthy got a supporting nomination for "Bridesmaids"(although I think she was funny, I found Kristen Wiig to be my fave in the movie. Only 9 best picture nominees. And it looks like this will be Meryl's year. But wouldn't it be interesting if her and Viola Davis could tie for Best Actress. It's happened before and it could happen this year(wishful thinking).
