GUIDE: George Zimmerman trial jurors' profiles

The six jurors in the second-degree murder trial of George Zimmerman in the death of Trayvon Martin are all women.

Five of them are white and one is black. Their ethnicity is unknown. Five of them are mothers. Two of them have lived in Seminole County for less than eight months. Two are closely related to attorneys and two work in the medical field.

B-29 is a woman, whose ethnicity is unclear. She is the only woman of color in the jury. She moved from Chicago four months ago. She is a mother of eight kids and has been married for about a decade. She works as the nurse of an Alzheimer's ward and when she is not watching reality T.V., she is checking her Facebook. She said she was arrested once.

B-76 is a white woman who is a longtime Sanford resident. She relies on an over-the-air antenna for T.V. news. Her son is an attorney who deals with foreclosures and bankruptcies. State wanted to get rid of B-76 because of a comment she made during her interview. Her daughter, she said, did not think it was acceptable for 17-year-old Trayvon Martin to be out late at night. He was killed about 7 p.m. She said the only reason why she refers to the Orlando Sentinel is to get the coupons.

B-37 is a white woman who is an animal lover. She is married to an attorney who deals with space law. She works for a Chiropractor, and said that newspapers were for her parrot cage. "It's a lot better use," she said. "I just don't think they're truthful." The mother of two adult daughters also said she took care of three dogs, four cats and had recently rescued a lizard. She described protests in Sanford as "rioting" and Trayvon as “a boy of color.”

B-51 is a white woman from Atlanta who has lived in Central Florida since the 1980s and now lives in the City of Oviedo. She is a single retiree who doesn't have children. She has a dog and a cat. Her parents live in Jacksonville. She has experience in real estate. And as the director of a call center in Brevard County, she supervised 1,200 employees. Experts believe she will be named the Jury Foreperson.

E-6 is a blond white woman. She is the mother of two teenagers ages 11 and 13. She said she used to work in financial services, but hasn’t been working since September. During the interview, she also revealed she had been the victim of domestic violence and was arrested once.

E-40 is a woman who has lived in Seminole County for seven months and has also lived in California and Iowa. She is married to a chemical engineer and has a 28-year-old son who works in the fast food industry. She has worked as a safety officer for nearly two decades and enjoys traveling, reading and sports.

ALTERNATE JURORS

Two of them are women and two of them are men.

E-13 is a single white woman who has lived in Seminole County for 17 years. She is a college student, who has two jobs. She was a surgical assistant for two years. During her free time, she enjoys riding horses. The churchgoer said she heard the shooting was a "racial thing."

B-72 is a single white man who has lived in Seminole County for nine years. He said he avoids the news because he does not want to be "brainwashed." While he was in high school he ran track and played football. He is a Phi Theta Kappa member. He works in maintenance at a school and during his free time he competes in arm-wrestling tournaments and works out at the gym. He said he remembers doing a one armed pull-up around the time that Trayvon was killed.

E-54 is a white man who appears to be in his late 50s. He has lived in Seminole County for about 14 years, and has been married for five years. His wife is an engineering assistant. He has two step-sons, and one of them is a 16-year-old who wears “hoodies.” He recalled seeing photos of the injuries to Zimmerman's head and face. He also has a passion for genealogy.

E-28 is a white woman who works in an operating room at a local hospital. She said she enjoys watching crime drama shows like Law & Order during her free time. She is the mother of two adults, a daughter and a son.

I mean having to testify in trial is stressful. I'm sure most of the people attacking her would have chocked just as bad.

This girl was on the phone as her friend was murdered on the other end and all people could do was talk shit about her. I was beyond pissed. Instead of looking for humanity, people were just trying to find a joke.Tacky and tasteless.

Well I wouldn't call it cold blooded murder becuz we don't know if Zimmerman went into this with intent of killing Travon becuz the prosecution would have charged him with first degree. The major problem is tryna figure out who attacked who first. Ajd since no one saw that...its leaving room for alot of speculation. If we had a witness who seen how it stared this case wouldn't he so complicated. Manslaughter sounds doable right now but only if prosecution lays it out as an ternative option wit the jurors or if they go full throttle with tryna get a 2nd degree conviction, they would have forfeited the possible manslaughter charge and Zimmerman would walk free

If he would have stayed in the car like the 911 dispatcher said and stopped acting like a "creepy ass cracker" as Trayvon called him than they boy would be in college right now. He needs to do hard time.

I lean to agree with this. Maybe the case is kind of tough, but I think the prosecution could have been much better.

I think they've done better than it has been portrayed in the media, but they aren't as good as the defense lawyers.

I'm most concerned about the detectives getting on stand and seemingly flip-flopping when they basically didn't believe Zimmerman's account of the situation.

I don't know it's frustrating. The prosecution does a good job on direct and usually ties things up nicely on re-direct, but the defense muddies up the water so much with semantics, you wonder if anything the prosecution presents is sticking with the jury.

At this point, I'm wondering if Trayvon Martin is on trial. I mean, you expect that from the defense to some extent, but they really are putting Trayvon on trial.

Its time for some prayer or something because for whatever reason Zimmerman has a good defense team, the prosecution isn't as cut throat and its sad. In the end we all heard the tape, the man was told to not pursue and he did, yet he's saying he was in danger, he wouldn't be in that if he had of stayed put Trayvon would be alive. This whole thing makes me sick

Zmmerman doesnt event need to testify at all. The dumb ass prosecuters let him tell his story repeatedly through the playback of videos without the ability to cross examine. They should have played up the fact that his injuries were so insignificant that he didnt require medical attention to the max. No stitches, no hospital stay, nothing. Their experts should be able to say that though anything is possible, the likeliness of zimmermans head being banged repeatedly against concrete. Even though the statement by serino stating that he believed zimmefmanwas thrown out, the jury cant unhear that. Just because somoneone is consistent with their story (hes not), doesnt mean that its the truth. The treatment of the friend in the media is awful too. Someone may be illiterate or less educated, but that says nothing about the honesthy amd truthfulness of what they are saying. Smart people make for better liars.

They did that on purpose, in case he doesn't take the stand.

A way to put him on the stand, without actually having him up there (since more than likely the defense won't)

Now they have to connect the dots to all of the inconsistencies in Zimmerman's story during the close.

The most glaring being that he absolutely had no knowledge of the stand your ground law and the criminal justice system overall. That already plants the first seed in the jury's mind.

He lied about that, and did so calmly during the Sean Hannity interview. He was completely believable. What else could he be lying about? Is it possible he wasn't truthful in his other statements where he appears just as calm? That's going to be in the jury's mind during the break tomorrow.

It's funny how everyone is saying how his "LIES" don't matter..but they bashed the hell out of Jeantel.
