"Intro:The arena is completely sark except for the lights on the stairs that can be seen all through out the Arena. Suddenly the band starts to play a song, It's not a Janet song...It's the classic Diana Ross song. "Your All I Need To Get By" it is slow and seductive. Action shots of Janet performing on different tours, and in videos begin to flash across the screen. Similar to AFYT but different. Over the instrumentation Various interlude from Janets albums can be heard. Suddenly the instrumentation Stops dead ! The curtain is torn away to reveal a bare stage. Suddenly Janet starts to rise from center stage, in complete silence, the fans are screaming like crazy. Janet reaches the top of the stage, just her in a spot light, the audience screaming!!! Then Janet says..."You know You Want This" Pyrotechnics explode and it immediately goes into the first song. “

  2. Dont be so sensitive. Thats the nature of the board.. dnt take it so personal. I have made threads and have gotten the same type of feedback..so has everyone else. Brush it off

yeah I know I just thought this was just for showing love and appreciating Janet. But you're ignoring people is better than getting into petty arguments

  3. Lol! Everytime I post something I get nothing but facts from certain people as well as what sometimes come of as negative feedback. I ask what if question just to see other people's opinions and creative I'm not saying what I said  are facts I asked as a hypothetical situation. No need to be a buzzkill.

  4. I think if any of her albums would have done the "25" thing... it would have been Control and RN. I Cant see them doin one for the janet. album. Besides i couldnt see anyone remaking any of those songs

yeah but the 25th of both of those albums already past thats why i said janet. its the next one.

  5. This is hard for me because I still have nightmares about that Soul Train Awards Tribute from Velvet Rope era. I have liked a live cover of "If" by Kelly Clarkson. Studio version might be cute. Maybe Kelly Rowland on "You want this," P!nk on "What'll I do."

Kelly would definitely slay a Janet cover. Her BET Awards performance decently embodied Janet.

  6. You guys know how Michael did Thriller:25 & Bad:25. If they were to do a Janet:25 in 2018. Who would you want to cover the songs. Like for example I see Tinashe doing "The Body That Loves You" and Ciara doing "If".

  7. Who is a nice track.  Some of Jane'ts bonus tracks are better than some that make it into the regular album.  Particularly some of the ones during the DJ and 20yo.

I agree, i think some of her international bonus track should've replaced some original album songs. You were right about the Damita Jo and 20 Y.O. Era some of the unrealized track I just don't understand why they are unrealized. Example (I Like It (Ruff) unreleased from the Damita Jo Era)

  8. I have to agree and Come On being overrated, though I did like the live performance.

Feels So Right could have been a filler single, though I like it more than that.

Anyone think You Aint Right was single worthy?

You Ain't Right. I wouldn't say it isn't single worthy but I feel like it wouldn't work. I think of it more like a filler song. It's not my favorite but if you're looking for that club vibe for a single for me it would be the Japanese Bouns Track "Who"

  9. She canceled the international dates*

    *- not Canada

did I miss read something? Because I don't remember seeing anything about Canada. Besides I'm not talking about why the promotion was cut. I just wondered what the fans would like to see as the 5th 6th & 7th single. This whole this went completely off topic.

  10. They dropped the AFY promo (and other artists' budgets) to buy Mariah Carey out of her $100m contract.

    Janet stopped touring post-9/11

But the tour ended in February 2002. She cancelled the September and half of the October dates.

  11. When We Oooo does things to my soul

Trust a Try would have been mega as a single...just after SOAG. Imagine the video...

    Betta Days

    Feels So Right

That video would have been fire. It has the creepy sick feel to it. The way she performed it during the AFY Tour made me wish it had a video.

  12. She did perform When We Oooo in Vegas

yeah i saw that on YouTube. But that is exactly why i think it should've been a single everybody new the words to that song and the choreography was on point. No doubt it would've been a #1 single (in my opinion)

  13. When We Oooo was my JAM!  I was so freaking obsessed with that song, I think I needed an exorcism.  But out of the remaining songs on the album, it would've been Come on Get Up.

When We Oooo is my jam too. I always picture it in a medley with That's The Way love Goes & Got 'Til It's Gone or right before a her sex medley like with Funny How Time Flies and Any Time, Any Place

  14. I had this as a playlist on my iTunes for awhile now. This is what I imagine when I picture the 20 Y.O. Tour. Don't be harsh lol its just my opinion. What is yours? What do you think about mine?  I'm honestly interested in people creativity. I just saw a post about a dream Damita Jo Tour from "DK95" (I think I got that right, sorry if I didn't) I'm going to try and make one for that era too.

  15. My random thought Janet usually have about 7/8 singles per album until the All For You Ear she had 4 official singles (Doesn't Really Matter, All For You, Someone To Call My Lover & Son of a Gun) in my opinion I feel like (Come On Get Up, When We Oooo, Trust a Try & Feel So Right) should've been singles with music videos and everything. Is there any songs from the AFY Era that you think should've been officially singles with music videos and promoted on the tour? This is not a debate on the album I LOVE 'ALL FOR YOU'! Im just wonder what you guys would like to see as singles. I've met people who love Janet like I do. I always thought I was the only one in my generation. This site is amazing to me.

  16. This is true but maybe they will do a double release like they did in 2004 with The Velvet Rope/All For You Tours. I'm just wishing in all honesty the Janet. and Discipline Era are my favorite and I'm just hoping that the tours will come to DVD or YouTube.

  17. Is there any truth to the Janet. World Tour 1993/1994 DVD being release. I do know that Pioneer has the rights to both the Janet and Rhythm Nation Tour, but hasn't release it yet. It feels like the right time since she's making a comeback in October.
