  1. They aren't using crates of Vinyls (more than one), where you have to switch out records every time you want to play a different song.

They are using what you call a Control Vinyl. Which is a single vinyl (as in one) and it is considered a digital form of media. A Control Vinyl does not contain any music on it. It simply connects to a laptop or exterior device and controls..... guess what.... MP3's on their computer

    :) You're dismissed.

    Well, shit. Burned.

  2. I dont care what anybodyyyyyy says.. "What Can I Say" is Janet' s best fuckin vocal ever.  Not to mention the most "clear" she has ever sounded on a song. Her vocals werent drowned out by the production. I think if ppl heard Janet sound like that more on songs...ppl would give her more vocal credit than the whole "Janet just whispers" comments

    I love that song!

  3. LOL, well supposedly Janet called Jimmy.

Janet's management set the whole thing up. Conversations in a cafe references the initial meeting they had about doing a potential album. Her manager set it up and said that there was no pressure, but that they felt that it would be a good idea for them to meet and if something came out of it great, if not, no big deal. I wonder what happened to all the work Janet was doing pre-JJ and Terry Lewis/post Rodney Jerkins (2009). Unbreakable was recorded in 2014-15. Janet was recording right after the Up Close and Personal Tour, all the way up to the point she finally worked with JJ and Terry in 2014. There's a ton of material that was shelved. She was working heavily with Jean Baptiste and co.

  4. Doubt it. They wouldn't have all those dancers on set for a tour backdrop. Janet has also never been on elaborate tour backdrops like some other girls rely on them.

If Janet's shooting a video, it's for a music video.

    Could be an interlude backdrop.

  5. interesting. It could be, something new for Dubai? Although I think Dave Meyers already did the footage for the tour. Also why would she need to recreate a full video shoot/set for the tour. It will be interesting to see. I'm sure more will surface soon. What we do know is there has been new footage shot recently.

Well, Jimmy did say that the tour was going to be album heavy now. Also, her fitness guy hashtagged his photo UnbreakableTour, not videoshoot, or anything. That's why I think that this could be for the tour, or up first, the Dubai show.

  6. Glad to see Tony confirm that. It's going to be good to see another video. I've had a theory for a long time & I hope she does capitalize. I feel this year is symbolic & if you remember Janet played into the symbolism very heavily at the beginning of the project. She used, 333 & 11 in the beginning of the project which for those who know, are symbolic numbers. With deep meaning.

In the year or "16" she will be 50 on the 16th. It's also the age MJ died at & that has its own significance. So I feel she could use that big 50 to her advantage and let it all fall into place. BUT with the setbacks she's faced it could be kinda difficult.

But not impossible. As long as everything goes as planned with the tour dates.

You're reading waaaaay too much into it. Janet is big on text speak and has been for over a decade now. She dropped the 333 from the title for No Sleeep. That's how it was originally spelled. Janet is one to use 2Nite, What's Ur Name, Rock Witchu, Can't B Good, Do It 2 Me, Love 2 Love, Dammn Baby, 2 B Loved, Gon B Alright, and so on. That's just the way she is.

  7. To be honest loads of gays still go to Dubai/Abu Dhabi/UAE for their holidays, knowing that the country doesn't accept their sexuality. But it does accept their $$$ and Dubai is all about the Benjamins. If she was performing in Saudi then there'd be a bigger issue imo. Let's not forget that the 2022 FIFA World Cup are taking place in Qatar. Clearly it's a lucrative place. I'm a firm believer in fixing our problems at home before side-eyeing other countries.

My country's problems don't even close to the problems those countries have when i comes to issues of homosexuality and human rghts. So let's not.

  8. I understand Janet doesn't want to be a part of the media that was so hurtful to her in the past.   However, she can just do minimal promo with regards to making small appearances, and at the very least releasing singles at a decent time to radio.     I play Unbreakable a lot around my younger nieces and nephews and you wouldn't believe how much they are into "Dammn Baby," and say it would be a great single.

Janet was fine with the media all through the Number Ones, True You, Up Close and Personal era. Then she got married and she went silent suddenly. Everyone was rooting for her comeback.

  9. I really feel for the fans affected by this. I've been there before. Hopefully she delivers on her promise to reschedule. Either way, I think the Unbreakable era would make a valuable case study for other artists. There are too many botched elements for such an accomplished performer like Janet.

She's done in Europe after this. People don't trust her not to cancel. Can you blame them? The stories fans have, the hoops they jumped through to see her this time only to have her cancel is heartbreaking. Janet let this happen with her no promotion routine.

  10. If you could only imagine what Janet had to go through when she herself find out the news that Live Nation cancelled the European leg.  We have no idea what went down between Live Nation and Janet as far as Europe is concerned.  Most of you guys couldn't give her 2 days to figure this out and at the same time rise to the occasion.  And let's not forget the embarrassment Janet must have felt over how the news was delivered to her fans.  Smh.  "TeamJanet always.

She had months to promote the shows to sell tickets so that they wouldn't be cancelled if that is indeed what happened. Please stop.

  11. Janet needed to fire her whole PR team from the get go. They must be old af if they thought this was a way to promote her new album and tour in the way the industry is now smh

What do you expect them to do if their client says that they won't promote their project? Jimmy Jam has been doing all the interviews, and Gil has been putting out wrong information, getting her into trouble, saying that her health is fine, and then a second later, they cancel something saying she's sick. Janet's a PR nightmare. I love Janet to death, but the fault lies with her, not her team. There's only so much they can do. If Janet just wanted to make albums and not tour or do interviews, I'd be fine with that actually, (provided she makes it known that that's the direction she's heading in). There have been artists that do just that. The making plans and then cancelling, and all that messiness though has got to stop.

  12. Somebody just made a very good point on one of the news reports about the cancellations-

Janet is now on a self-funded & self managed label, so low-ticket sales are absolutely not a good enough excuse to cancel, she herself is worth more than enough to fund a world tour, her US gigs have already been very successful and no doubt created a profit, for her label, and a minor stakeholder Nederlander Concerts,

and her husband is a BILLIONAIRE, so, low ticket sales lead to all the thousands of fans in Europe just being left without - sorry not good enough.

Next to no one is rich enough to fund an entire world tour. Do you know how many people have to be paid? The US legs were also not that profitable either. The album didn't make much profit either. Sales, if you can call them that, were due to her giving the album away with tickets and merchandise. I got a free copy with everything I bought. I doubt Janet made any profit this era if she's been funding everything on her own, and that includes the recording of the album -- producers have to be paid. This is why Janet should have been hitting every television, magazine, and radio interview she could do. When you're an indie artist and your bank account is on the line, you do everything in your power to make a profit. Her approach to this project was flat out insane. Perhaps one day she'll write a tell-all and fill us in on what was really going on. Everyone was ready to embrace her. Talk about a missed opportunity on so many levels.
