Anyway, all this is silly, Janet's NAME and legacy is much bigger globally and always will be. She had global success and sales in the 90s that kylie could only ever dream of. Kylie doesnt have the same star power and presence. Janet has been globally much more successful. And a few dud years wont change that. Where are all the copy cat Kylies and tributes? There aren't any.

There's no point in arguing with you anyway because when it comes to Janet you fail to see reality. I was a fan when she was the biggest star on the planet. Now she isn't. She hasnt had a significant presence anywhere outside America in 8 years. Her last global big hit was 11 years ago. Much of it is her own fault, and it is what it is. I still love her music and can't wait for her to release.

Janet is an icon and a legend but is no longer relavent in music. Maybe she will be again and maybe not. She can not command large audiences any more out side the states. With a hit album she could. But, again, as is the case with Janet she missed an opportunity to release off the back of her tour. She has many people interested in her again right now due to her looking good and they are anticipating her music, but as has been the pattern it's likely that she won't jump at the opportunity now either.

Janet is a smart woman and if she's cool with it then so am I. Regardless of what she does next her name is already in music history as a trailblazer and icon and a legend.

I'm so bored seeing tour/venue numbers being used as an indicator of relevance. Friggen Barry Manilow still sells out Areanas. It doesn't mean anything.

But even if it did, aside from UK and Australia dates, Kylies latest tour dates only achieved 70%-80% capacity, and the large majority of them were Theatre capacity, especially in America where she only did 17 dates, compared to Janets 50.

Kylies major markets are UK and Australia. Janet's major markets cover Asia, US and Africa.

Kylie has marginally bigger profile in some Latin American countries (eg. Chile). And Ignoring the UK, kylie and Janet are, depending on country, more or less equal in Europe. Kylies success in mainland Europe is really over exaggerated.

I'm not quite sure how u conclude that kylie is bigger. Seems laughable to me. I don't think current tours demonstrate anything. A lot of the 'areanas' Kylie performed in in her last tour, were half empty.

I've heard they're trying to pull the younger audience (Hence Britney and Demi). After Whitney passed, I think they (the producers) changed their mind about having a "legend" on the panel, and went strictly for the younger market.

Also, I don't think Janet turned down the idea. She and her camp probably expressed interest, but upon learning that they wanted younger, the press release was put out so that it wouldn't seem as if Britney was chosen over Janet.

There are kids today sitting at their computer pretty much 12 hours a day starring at sexual, some violent, videos. Bondage, groups, rape, unprotected sex, big is best etc.

The stuff can take over your life, you become lazy, you become obsessed with staying in waiting for an empty house, lying, hiding. You become the neighbours weirdo with their curtains always closed. Etc.
