  1. Why is it progress? The vast majority of London is a minority now. He just got the ethnic vote. That's not progress, just hypocrisy.

This is NOT the way most Brits want to go, but it's happening all across the country. The establishment want to call it multicultural and diversity. It's not, it's CHANGING the country to become something other than its heritage.

The focus is always on changing the west. Why not the focus and pressure on the rest of the world, most of which is backwards and very discrimatory. Real progress would be seeing the Muslim faith progress about 1000 years and Middle East become more like the west. How many Muslim nations have elected a white Christian?

Sadiq is still the worst thing to happen to London. He's Labour, he's a friend of Corbyn and ed Miliband and he's a massive socialist. Hes been seen on stage 9 times with extremists.

    not here for it. Sorry.

I love how it's always Western countries that need to make "progress"

As if Middle Eastern countries treat minorities well. LMFAO

Multiculturalism has failed. London is NOT integrated. Immigration has not had a net benefit. The financial benefit is weak at best, and it's put so much pressure on our services.

  2. I haven't been listening to unbreakable for like 2 months now.  I was obsessed it with for so long.  It's a masterpiece but when you have no videos no performances or anything of that nature the album just fades away into obscurity

hmmm... there aren't many albums that I can say that I've listened to for that length of time.

80% of my plays from this album were in the month it came out.

  3. Both songs are two of my most played from the album (top 6) even though I haven't played either in a while.

2 Be Loved was an initial favourite.

I always associate TMA with being kinda generic and not taking off enough despite how infectious it is.

No doubt, the Dammn Baby video will have me revisiting the entire album though.

  4. I don't think she was trying to win over the country crowd... Beyonce is reminding people that this is a pop record and not a R&B record.

To be fair, in hindsight, 'What'll I Do' isn't all that innovative :umm:

& the Janet. album wasn't rated 93/100. Too much filler, unfortunately.

  5. I was gonna post it too. But I decided it was to early. And I don't care what anyone says Prince and Mj did not like one another. The shade that they have thrown each other way is very telling. Kinda like Janet vs. Madonna.

I just read this myself. I love it. Prince was so mad.

Janet really killed it with those back-to-back record breaking contracts.

  6. I love funk too but Work It Out just doesn't work for me. It's her and the Neptunes on autopilot.

Rubbish. There literally exists a Harvard case study on the risk and ambition associated with her previous release, and Lemonade runs the chance of alienating a sizeable chunk of her base on musicality alone.

I was referring to Lemonade musically, not in terms of her business model. But maybe I misspoke - I do think she experimented with her self-titled. But I can't say the same with Lemonade. For example: Daddy Issues may be her first Country song, and may be "risky" for her fan base, but it's a pretty by-the-numbers country song. Not innovative at all.

  7. Yep. More isn't necessarily better.

    yep.

More songs does not mean we are getting a more diverse record. Some of the best albums only have 8 tracks, others are 2 discs. Quantity speaks nothing of quality.

Who complains about an album being "too long"?   Thats why the skip button was invented. Yall be on some different shit on here,I swear.

I would call that getting more of a bang for yo BUCK! And having ton of songs only hightens the number of songs you might possibly enjoy verses being limited to fewer songs u might like cus an album only has 9 tracks. Yall be tripping with what yall consider to be "issues"

Lmao. And a fast forwards button is there to skip the boring parts of a movie lmao.

  8. Sorry... but nothing Beyonce has ever done is "risky".

Her music is straight and narrow - just like everything else about her.

There are a few songs I like on the album. Nothing that I love. It reeks of mediocrity.

The metascore is astounding to me. A 93 album should be innovative. Beyonce is anything but

  9. This era isn't taking a new direction. She's just releasing the video she recorded a month ago.

Is the Man of the house available? :)

    Yeah...

ain't no way Janet is going to record a music video and not release it...

I'd be extremely surprised if she shoots another video for this era. Releasing a video that she shot before canceling the tour proves nothing imo

  10. Thank you

lol how do so many janet fans not know this already

And i agree, just because he shaded her (and there was probably snubs behind the scenes, e.g. LWND) doesn't mean that she still isn't hurt by the loss of Prince. She was a huge fan.

  11. There's 3 interviews that come to mind. All were around the promoting of True You. The one where she is in a black & white jacket with the short hair and comb over. Then there's one with the black female interviewer and it was a kinda long interview but they were vibing. I think Janet is in a black dress. When she talked about Joe, the girl says "what did you say" & Janet says, "when your parents said something did you talk back?"

The last one I believe is with Janet wearing a crinkly bob with a white jacket. The interviewer asked if you had it to do all over again would you, and she pauses and says "No, I can't say that I would."

I remember her saying something like this. and i still don't really get it tbh.
