  1. Not a fan but she is right.  Plus Patricia Arquette went over the top with her speech backstage at the Oscars telling black women what to do.  I thought her speech in general was laughable when the only thing the Oscars nominate black women for is being mammies or slaves.

Patricia did not tell Black women what to do :umm:

What she said was that it was time for other minority groups to speak up for women the way women have spoken up for those groups in the past. Truth be told she was right about that too. :coffee:  At the end of the day, women get 78 cents, while men get a dollar , all for doing the same job. And like monique just said, women of color are getting less than that! so yeah, gay men, black men, jewish men and ALL women need to speak up against it. What's wrong with what she said?

  2. Just discovered this the other day. (I loved R&Bdonna B))

R&B Madonna was fun sometimes. :good:

She tried it on the erotica album but it fail flat. But she got the right producers for Bedtime Stories (Dallas, Babyface) and the results were stronger. R&B was such a force in the 90s, it had pop artist jumping on the bandwagon. I miss my childhood. :tear:

  3. The problem with Milian is that she thinks just being pretty is enough to have a successful career. Never worked to distinguish herself musically or image wise. But she had some success in songwriting. Perhaps she should concentrate on that

I've always said she sould have concentrated on being a writer behind the scenes and building her brand there, kinda like Kandi. She has NO it factor and never did. Her hottest sibgle was "dip it low", which ironically she didn't even write. Teedra Moses wrote it.

  4. Soooo...apparently there's this tour called the 'Between The Sheets' tour and its Chris Brown, Trey Songz and Tyga on the bill (Chris and Trey are co-headlining of course -Chris is coming out last tho). It was suppose to start the 27th of last month but Chris had unfinished community service obligations he had to take care of so they had to reschedule like 11 shows,so the tour kicks off tonight. BUT apparently one show has already been canceled due to selling only 3,500 seats in a 20,000 seater.

Is it me or shouldnt they be doin small to medium size venues  I dont see their names being big enough to sell out big arenas. Am I missing something?????? Arent they way in over their heads to begin with?

I agree with you that performer has to know their level of fame. That will allow them to book venues based on what they can actually sell. Actually, its really the responsibility of the booking agent and mananger to handle that. But before people drag chris, tyga and trey we would need to know how many seats were available for the show in the first place. An arena can hold 20,000 seats but most concert stages take up a lot of space so I sure 20,000 tickets were never released to the box office. I'm not saying they didn't cancel for lack of sells, but maybe they fell short by 6,000 instead of 16,000.

  5. To be honest, Beyonce did deserve that award. You don't have to write, produce and arrange your entire album for it to be awarded album of the year. It helps if you do, but if the album is good, connects with the public, produces a hit single and is critically acclaimed then it should win. Beyonce had the entire package, so in my opinion, she should have won. And I'm as far from a Bey stan as it gets. However, the Grammy board felt otherwise and awarded it to Beck. It was Becks moment and Kanyeta should have remained seated. He could have expressed his opinion on twitter, fb or a interview as he did later in the broadcast. it wasn't his spotlight to steal. Not to mention, Beyonce has like 12 grammy's already, many of which she DID NOT DESERVE! So yeah, Kanye needs to have several seats.

  6. That's because Eminem is a man. 8f70c6ea.gif

Or because he was undeniably talented and a proven battle rapper and lyricist. I was never a fan of his music but even I could admit he had flow. Igloo Australia seems like a gimmick. Black people aren't just hating on her because she's white. They don't like her because we know the genuine artifact from a fake. Just sayin

  7. They'll both be getting paid with this TBIM cover tbh.

No they wont. When it comes to residuals from re-makes, only writers get paid. Of the two only Brandy has a writing credit on that song. Anywho, Monica looks super young in that above pic. im sure she has more than enough money to live a comfortable lifestyle. I commend her for following her dreams and doing something constructive with her life.

  8. exactly. People so quick to discredit her just cause they don't like her but when she wants to get on it she does

Yeah, people come for her pretty hard, but truth be told, her flow is better than most of the dudes I hear on the radio. But she was the one who created the cartoon character image. Sometimes your image can overshadow your talent.

  9. Imma miss the clown. I was hoping he'ed be the big bad all season. His back story was sad but it wasn't that compelling. I was pissed my girl patti died so soon. I liked her character. Evan Peters could get it every conceivable. That's all

  10. I notice this yesterday when I saw the video. I thought either the black population in NYC is huge or she only walked through neighborhoods of color. There were practically NO white men to be seen even when she walked through time square. Anywho, much of what was said to her was not offensive. She was a pretty girl in a tight outfit, who happen to be curvaceous. men are going to look. If she had on say a basic dress or business suite she wouldn't have gotten half the comments she did. Other than the creepy guy who walked with her fior five minutes, nothing happened to her.

  11. this just gave Kathy a decades worth of material for stand up

Good, because her last couple of comedy specials were blah. She needs new writers and she needs to focus less on pop culture. I mean, she can still include it as a topic, but can she mix it up with politics, her family history, her dating life or something. I mean, its only so many kim k jokes you can make.

  12. She for sure had a brow lift. Her hairline is way higher now then in the pre pick. I for one think she looks good, but her squint was her signature. Folks used to fuck with her about it all the time, especially kathy griffin, but it was what she was known for. Truth be told, I can think of people who look way worse. Renee still looks good in my opinion and I'm sure she can still act.
