I heard TAT how is that NOT for fans?

My point is it was Glastonbury. The setlist should have been songs for the people attending, not the diehard fans. How are you going to perform after 8 years in the UK and miss out the songs that people actually know you for in the UK. Rhythm Nation 1814 lowkey bombed in Europe. You do songs that people know you for, not songs that your diehards know that probably weren’t in attendance. But that’s all been said in the Glastonbury thread

It was, but because there were sound issues. Kylie Minogue seemed to have issues with the sound as well.

Montreux was great. The energy was ON, Janet sounded really good (she was absolutely singing live) and the venue was sold out.

I'm sure Janets team and Livenation felt like the European festivals were successful in terms of attendance, so a European leg of her upcoming Metamorphosis World Tour (?👀) is very likely to happen as well.

    Lylie’s set was enjoyable though

    So negative.

Glastonbury was shorter than any tour she’s done

the whole show is online. watch it and decide for yourself. no need for being a follower

    I can’t hear her on people’s recordings

People don't understand she was booked for 50 minutes (like a lot of performers there). The Montreux show was pretty much a complete show (about 80 mins).

50 minutes and she chose songs no one cares for. It wasn’t a show for fans 💀

  3. I enjoyed it. The sound was off at first but then it picked up! She’s being panned on twitter but it’s just a bunch of white folk with no taste. She basically performed the 80s singles plus best things, If, Trust a Try, Come on get up, afy, made for now and rock with you

  4. For me:

    1) Rhythm Nation 1814

    2) janet.

    3) The Velvet Rope

    4) Control

    5) Damita Jo

    6) All For You

    7) Unbreakable

    8 ) 20 Y.O.

    9) Discipline

    10) Janet Jackson

    11) Dream Street

I know a lot of JanFam hate Damita Jo but I actually love it. The whole breezy summery vibe of the album just knocks with me so much. But it being placed higher than AFY doesn't mean it's a better album than AFY. I've always seen DJ as an extension of it tbh. AFY clearly has higher highs and higher lows. But I still prefer DJ to it.

Janet is not gonna speak up on that shit. I guarantee you. Ita a lost cause..Im sure Janet looks at it like beating a dead horse at this point and ppl are gonna believe wtf they wanna believe juss cus the most popular Jackson is gonna say he is innocent isnt gonna change whoever think he's guilty, and she knows that..so whats the point? She's not gonna entertain the bullshit, I wouldnt either

The fact everyone think she's going to interview anyway :lmao:

    Y'all are funny.

Seriously though, how does this change the pop trajectory? Does this make Madonna the King of Pop? Did Prince ultimately win the battle? Does this officially make Janet the best Jackson? What is Lady Gaga going to do with all that MJ memoribilia? Can Justin, Chris Brown, Usher still copy MJ without being judged? What does this all mean?

    :unsure::rolleyes:-_-:mellow:

Just wait for it. It's still early, anything can happen. It's alot of shady tings going on right now.

In the long run, I doubt it. His legacy is just too embedded in pop music and influence in pop artists. He was simply the greatest and I don’t think anything can undo that. Plus not everyone in the industry is a mindless sheep that can be brainwashed by a one-sided fictional mockumentary.
