I will say the funniest shade someone tried to throw at Janet as far as her look in the video on YouTube was "why is dressed like Stevie Nicks?"  

They can't handle Janet's fashion forward ensemble and not seeing her skin and cleavage!

I love the irony in Janet's career.  She's come full circle and I believe is going to give us a full well rounded arsenal of artistry.  Janet's going to experiment with her sound going forward and it's going to be geared towards what is relevant and comfortable to her not what is relevant to what is playing on the radio or what today's garbage of videos are. The music on the radio is so desperate that I can't handle listening to it.  I know there are some amazing artists putting out amazing music but it's few and far between. 

I lurve her look in the video!  It's all about the Danish and Belgian(Nordic) designers right now.  Give me A.F. Vandevorst and Barbara I Gongini any day.  

Her voice was pretty shaky!  Don't know why she attempted do this either. 

She does have management....same management for years now.  Her manager is pretty much a "yes" man and literally tries to nickel and dime us on everything by always asking for favors.  They always call last minute in a panic asking my stylist to custom make a piece for her then at the end of the day they change their mind and say they found something that she already has because Ciara doesn't want to spend any money.  Ciara is always a hit or miss with her fashion.  We don't do any favors for them anymore unless they are going to pay my stylist's minimum day rate. I think her manager use to do a great job for her but I think as of late she just doesn't care what Ciara does as the opportunities are slim now and they take what they can.  Did you see Ciara on that game show on NBC called "I Can Do That"?  What the hell was that?  That did nothing for her career.  

This video needed that Jennifer Lopez flavor that she always serves though we have seen it plenty of times.

It was exactly what I thought it should be.......simple and simply for us Janet fans who have been waiting!!!!!  Seriously though this bitch is slaying with her look and that hair is the envy of all girls right now!  She's so modest in the video but still oozes her sexuality!  And damn that throwback to TTWLG was iconic.....I swear they took the footage from the video but you know what they didn't have to!  Our girl said "let me remind these bastards that I still can look the same as I did back in the height of my career!"  

I'm loving how respectful Janet is being of herself by not throwing herself on J. Cole and playing the part.  She truly is showing how much she values her marriage and to me that is the most special thing to see, Janet's spirituality!  K I will be watching this every 10 minutes.  So glad the video was only Janet until the end.  Just plain and simple. Boom!  Video is out.  

And boom....most of us thinking the video was just shot and come to find out it's coming out tomorrow!  Thank you Janet!  She's snatching wigs left and right and the majority of them belong to her fans.  Janet you aint right! 

Umm......I think the addition of J. Cole was perfect as well as his verse and Janet's extra ad-libs while he rapped. I don't think he came too hard at all.  J.Cole played well with the sweetness and beat of the song.  I actually like it a lot. 

Everyone needs to chill whether the video is coming out too late.  Usually the song is released on radio first and the video is released a month later.   Janet has her schedule down and is not following any record company formula.  The deal that Janet made with BMG in recording the album and in releasing it would be that the album would have full promo and not just focus on a couple of singles.  I think this is a perfect non desperate way to reintroduce Janet to the world......there are so many young kids that are starting to love Janet because they weren't around or were too young to let the Superbowl aftermath affect them.  BMG and Janet are set to push the whole album and tour.  

Just look at how beautiful our queen looks.  I'm just thrilled that they did a video for "No Sleeep".

Rhythm Nation on the radio last night for 4th of July in Los Angeles around 10pm.  I was very surprised that they were playing R.N. but then again I thought "It's 4th of July....makes sense!".

Fiyah!  Her most brilliant song ever!  I swear I don't understand why she has never performed it live and why anyone hasn't had the capability to convince her to do it so.  I swear the performance could almost be reminiscent of a Rhythm Nation type production as far as how many dancers she puts in the video.  "We never met!!!!!!!!!" 

The vocal arrangement is out of this world, pure heaven.....her background vocals are so brilliant  "When I close my eyes....." I just melt.

Janet's stylist styled all the dancers who did the tribute including Janet.  I don't think Janet met any of them to be honest as they all dealt with Gil......Janet didn't do the red carpet as we know and left right after her appearance. Janet kept her distance as she should have.  Yes it would have been great promo for the single had Janet performed but the concert is literally 2 months away.  You would think she would do the MTV Awards on August 30th but she's going to be in Vancouver on August 31st for the opening of the tour?  Janet is gong to do what she wants.  Why add pressure to such a gift that she is giving us? Who knows what she has up her sleeve.

Shit the tribute could be "Young Love", "Say You Do", and "You Don't Stand Another Chance" for all I care.  I would seriously die if they did "Come Give Your Love To Me".  That song was the most alternative song Janet ever sang!  Hey it's all about throwing it way back to her first 2 albums!  The audience would be like   and I would be !

when I was a kid we actually went outside to play and had to use our imagination most of the time to create games and shit. kids today stay inside and play video games, have no imagination and if they are outside their attention is directed at capturing a moment just to upload it on social media.

It's so sad.  It's not their fault. We as the adults need to reintroduce this way of life to our kids.  It can be done actually.....it's harder in the bigger cities but in small towns kids are able to grow up like we did.   Kids are getting cell phones at the age of 6 now but there are some parents who make them wait until they are 12. 

I am part of the last generation who use to record music on their cassette tapes off of the radio!!!!!!!  That shit was hilarious when you would forget to stop recording after the song was finished and you would hear yourself cut off the recording by saying "Oh shit!" after tripping over some book on the floor......... :lmao:

So glad that drama is over for the most part as far as Janet's association with her family.  I think when Janet married Wissam and left for a while the drama literally stopped.  So proud of Janet for taking herself out of the spotlight for a while.  Not many celebrities could even handle doing this for a year for the fear of being forgotten.  Janet creates her destiny and owns up to it even at times when it's not that kind to her.  I love this woman.

She returned as Janet!  She didn't return and give us something that is trending for the moment.  This is the most important detail that critics need to realize about "No Sleeep"......it truly is classic and gives Janet's fans and non fans alike a throwback to what is genuinely Janet; a sultry voice that is both angelic and sensual and just makes you want to groove whether the beat is mid-tempo or up.

Japan always gives her a number #1 spot for the most part, so either they must not have it over there or it hasn't charted.  It hasn't been promoted at all....it's not even a full week since it's release.  We will be fine. You are all doing a good job.
