  1. Janet has proven great vocal ability on tracks such as Love Will Never Do (Without You),  "What'll I Do" (wish that would have been released as a single), Enjoy, Make Me, and most of the songs on Unbreakable (Especially Gon Be Alright ) which I feel is her best vocal album.

one of her best vocal albums indeed along with R.N. and The Velvet Rope.  I did love her vocals on 20 Y.O. too.

  2. First off.. Why are we still talking about it?

Yes Janet knew... Justin knew.. No one else knew. No way MTV would have allowed Janet to show one breast on television! That's a PR nightmare. They would have made more money if Janet didn't decide to show her breast

Janet also isn't that great of an actor. She's more choreographed and you can tell by her reaction afterwards that she was embarrassed. She even admitted to balling her eyes out afterwards

The nipple wasn't covered btw and there's no way anyone would have thought that showing a nipple at a sporting event was good business.. No one.

Janet explained what should have happened. Accusing Janet of lying is kinda like selling out, no? I mean, Why lie to Oprah's face? Do people lie to Oprah? Is that even possible? There's a real conspiracy theory

Showing a nipple on her own HBO special is not the same as doing so in front of 100M people. One is a limit audience of Janet fans and you didn't even notice the nipple unless you replayed the introduction which was impossible before Janet made TiVo mad money & inspired the Internet's biggest asset, YouTube

i can't change your views on that 200 year event but your views are borderline conspiracies

MTV knew about it.  They even had a commercial that they played before the Super Bowl saying something like "And wait until you see the revealing/shocking performance by Janet".....next day there was no existence of the commercial.  I don't have a receipt for it but MTV definitely hinted at something "shocking" that would happen in Janet's performance. Janet didn't say MTV knew about it for business purposes which is why with the release of 20 Y.O. MTV finally came around and gave Janet a 2nd chance by letting her do promo on their network.  Janet herself went to MTV and made sure they would promote the album....the record company didn't fix the relationship with MTV, Janet did.

MTV obviously thought "Well Janet kept her part of the bargain by not blowing the whistle on us so let's help her out with this new album".

  3. I love the vocals on Curtains but no no no......it is not even close to Well Travelled.  I actually think Well Travelled should have been released as the first single along with No Sleep.  It would have come out of left field and appealed to a whole different audience.  The song has so many possibilities as a retrospective of Janet and her journey to today.  Today is the key point.  It's such a beautiful song in so many ways.....the composition, the production, the vocals, the yearning and the search for the great forever. It would have appealed instantly to an older crowd for sure.  Country would have eaten it up possibly.

  4. With that said though, I do love her vocals on Love Will Never Do (Without You) - particularly the way she tackles the low notes at the beginning (I think the song was originally intended to be a duet and those parts were meant to be sung by a male vocalist). I also love how her high notes toward the end blend in seamlessly with the music.

Yes it was meant to be a duet and they thought a duet with Prince would be a great idea. It never happened but damn that would have been even more iconic but at the same time it could have distracted us from Janet's new sexy look that she unleashed in the video. Regardless it's a duet with Janet and Janet.

  5. How about "Black Cat," "This Time," and "What About"? Those songs aren't extremely demanding but they do show that Janet can pull off a rock-influenced song. I think she did What About live at the VR Tour, or it could have been pre-recorded.

"What About" was live as well as when she performed and sang it on the VH1 Fashion Awards.

  6. have I been in here posting since then?

You wonder? Well stop being curious. They're complaining. Scroll past. Again, you chose to enter a thread you didn't have to. I'm trying to help YOU out, because you seem to be at your wit's end. They're not going to stop so what are you gonna do? Keep posting the same shit? Lol don't you sound like the people you're tired of?

Actually not as I don't complain on here much except every now and then when members are beating the subject at hand with a dead horse.  I'm pretty succinct with what I'm posting about but I get what you are saying.  I don't get into rebuttals as it pointless as I can't do anything about it.
