  1. On this day (Oct 28th) in 1989, Janet Jackson started a four-week run at No.1 on the US album chart with Janet Jackson's Rhythm Nation 1814, only one of three albums to produce seven top ten US singles (the other two being Thriller by Michael Jackson and Bruce Springsteen's Born In The USA).

Seven top ten singles! From one album!

Most acts dream of having seven top ten singles during their career, let alone from one album. And I wouldn't mind, but out of the other two acts to achieve this feat, talk about keeping it in the family, it's Janet's brother Michael.

  2. Watching this biopic had me in my feelings. A few things I didn't know:

    Chili had an abortion

    Left Eye was from Philly?

    Pebbles was a TRUE BITCH

The group stormed Clive Davis' office.. :lmao:

Overall, this was a great biopic. Lil Mama was great as Left Eye..the acting was alright. I was singing along to all those classics. :tear: "Baby Baby Baby" brought back so many memories.. :tear:

I'm going to buy "20" when I get home tonight. :cheer:

so basically you aint know shit

  3. Just because she isn't popular anymore doesn't mean that she didn't inspire a large group of current and old artist. Countless artist quote her as an inspiration from Rihanna and Chris Brown to Jessie J and Robert Glasper. Almost all R&B artist will say that her "Full Moon" album set the standard for R&B albums when it was released and they all tried to emulate it. There is plenty of evidence of the "force" that she is to the industry.

You are really starting to look like a hater. Most peopleI know couldn't tell you a thing about Lisa Fisher, but she is regarded as one of the best background singers ever. What do you know about Rachelle Ferrell? Doesn't make her any less of a force just because you can't see it.

    noticed I ignored foolishness...
